I traced one number to Georgia and left a message with there police dept.there, got an email back saying they would investigate. You figure with all the technology the police have they would at least track it and do something about it since they are scammers...and bad one's too.Bank of America should be going after them since it's making them look bad.

I keep getting these texts from info2@info.com and similar sounding sources.  Supposedly it's about my Bank of America account.  It's very annoying.  Can this be blocked?  Can some law enforcement authority track down these scammers?

No!  I don't owe ANYBODY money so it's not a collection agency.

I'm just noticing that the new text says call (503) -2124666.  Yep....parentheses and dash exactly as written here.  Obviously not from America.  Nigeria perhaps?  But here's the twist.  This one came from my60@sprintpcs.com.  Wonder what Sprint is gonna say about this.  Obviously they used my texts from last week and hijacked sprint's name.  Ugh!!

See my prior responses.

Sprint lady told me I must have put my cell number at some time on a website requesting it.  I don't recall doing this but I must have.  She told me to NEVER put it in.  When they ask for it, she said just assume you are being scammed somehow and quickly get off that site.

See my response to Cindy to see what she told me to do re: unwanted texts.

Yep, yep. That was the email address used last week.  See my response to Cindy about what the Sprint lady said to do.

I just called Sprint last week about the same type of message.  I had been getting texts with email addresses to reply to.  All of them had some type of BofA address in them.  The lady told me to reply to the texts with either stop, cancel, or delete.  Once I got confirmation that they had received the text, ie "sent," she said that I could delete them, which I did.

I'm sorry to say that I got another one today but this time with the phone number in question here.  I'm going to do what you advised and type 7266.  I intend to report it as you have advised.  In addition, I DO have a BofA account.  I'm changing the password just in case.  Maybe this will stop this baloney.

Thanks for your help.

Both my husband and I are receiving an excessive amount of text messages from this number asking for our Bank of America credit card information. How do I make them stop? I called Bank of America and they informed me that they never text their customers and ask for credit card numbers. It has become very annoying.

Received a text message earlier today.  It read as follows:  my14@info.com:  Subject: BankOfAmerica Hi.Call (503)-212-4666. Thank you

I went to my bank to find out what is going on and then this evening received an alert call from my bank informing me to call.  I check my statement and find 3 unknown charges to my account.  Needless to say my card is now shut down and my account is frozen.  When I spoke with fraud dept this evening from my bank, I asked about the number and was informed that this is not one of their numbers.  I do not know who is doing this or how they have accessed my card or account, but I do know that I am very p/oed about this mess.

I hope that who ever is behind this is caught and that you end up behind bars.

I was getting a lot of these messages weekly. If you txt the number 7266 (SPAM) then you will get a response message back where you can report these numbers and get them shut down. It worked like a charm for me.

Got an SMS from them purporting to be BOfA, but sent from my3101@info.com. I'm sure they auto-filter they're mail, if it's not spoofed altogether, but I sent them a few choice responses.
