I get calls too. I have been charge late payments every month for my mortgage, even through funds were deducted from my banking account. prior to 13 th of month. Last week the company informed me even thoughh my bank deducted payment from my account on the 13th, they did not accept payments from on line banks even through the bank show datet the  funds were deducted  from my account.. I throught i was paying accordingly. .  The company took one of my payment and deducted half of it to pay late fees. I was told i had failed to pay that months payment because they applied payment else where and about to recieve forclosure notice. They were very rude. I could not go to the phone, it was melt down time. MY NIGHTMARE BEGAIN WHEN MY MORTGAGE WAS TRANSFERED TO THEM.

In order for the harassment to stop, it is best to write the company (Seterus) send a cease and desist letter to them if they are blowing up your phone. If they do not stop, then speak with an attorney and thick about what actions you can take.

It is Seterus.  For us it used to be Bank of America.  It is LEGAL for banks to sell your loan.  Our mortgage has been sold 3 times in 6 years.  I have to honestly say they have help my husband and I tremendously!  We got behind on our mtg(alot)  and not only did they modify us, those dropped our interest rate from 7% to 2%.  We have had a great experience with them.  Just keep it honest and truthful and they will help.

I keep getting calls from this number at work.  My mortgage keeps getting sold.  The one one Banc of America sold to Seterus (not sure of spelling).  Now I am concerned if this is the company that haves my mortgage... If it is a legitimate company... I am not behind in the mortgage.  I sure don't need something else to worry about.

A CALL FOR THE US GOVERNMENT, through its FannieMae and FreddieMac subsidiaries, TO BOTH DROP ITS SUPPORT FOR IBM-Seterus and instead INVESTIGATE and prosecute IBM for past crimes against humanity!

IBM-Seterus should NOT be collecting money on behalf of the US government's mortgage companies, they should be paying legitimate reparations instead!!!

People ask what the heck is IBM-Seterus, a computer company, doing in the mortgage management and foreclose business?

It should not be any surprise that IBM-Seterus should get into this game of using cutting-edge TECHNOLOGY hunting down mortgagees and forcing them to cough up or be foreclosed because IBM has a long history of using its stealthy technology ruthlessly to hunt down people in distress, and this should be made known.

Start off by reading the key background information at: http://www.ibmandtheholocaust.com/ ?IBM and the Holocaust: The stunning story of IBM's strategic alliance with Nazi Germany -- beginning in 1933 in the first weeks that Hitler came to power and continuing well into World War II. As the Third Reich embarked upon its plan of conquest and genocide, IBM and its subsidiaries helped create enabling technologies, step-by-step, from the identification and cataloging programs of the 1930s to the selections of the 1940s.

Only after Jews were identified -- a massive and complex task that Hitler wanted done immediately -- could they be targeted for efficient asset confiscation, ghettoization, deportation, enslaved labor, and, ultimately, annihilation. It was a cross-tabulation and organizational challenge so monumental, it called for a computer. Of course, in the 1930s no computer existed.

But IBM's Hollerith punch card technology did exist. Aided by the company's custom-designed and constantly updated Hollerith systems, Hitler was able to automate his persecution of the Jews. Historians have always been amazed at the speed and accuracy with which the Nazis were able to identify and locate European Jewry. Until now, the pieces of this puzzle have never been fully assembled. The fact is, IBM technology was used to organize nearly everything in Germany and then Nazi Europe, from the identification of the Jews in censuses, registrations, and ancestral tracing programs to the running of railroads and organizing of concentration camp slave labor..."

Wikipedia has a key article about a key book that researches all this further: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_and_the_Holocaust ?IBM and the Holocaust? that should open everyone's eyes. Just read these nuggets:

"[The book] tells the story of IBM's conscious involvement ? directly and through its subsidiaries ? in the Holocaust, as well as its involvement in the Nazi war machine that murdered millions of others throughout Europe.

"Mankind barely noticed when the concept of massively organized information quietly emerged to become a means of social control, a weapon of war, and a roadmap for group destruction.... Hitler and his hatred of the Jews was the ironic driving force behind this intellectual turning point. But his quest was greatly enhanced and energized by the ingenuity and craving for profit of a single American company and its legendary, autocratic chairman. That company was International Business machines, and its chairman was Thomas J. Watson." [Edwin Black, IBM and the Holocaust: The Strategic Alliance between Nazi Germany and America's Most Powerful Corporation. Second paperback edition. Washington, DC: Dialog Press, 2009; pg. 7.]...

"Since the advent of the Third Reich, thousands of Jews nervously assumed they could hide from the Aryan clause.

"But Jews could not hide from millions of punch cards thudding through Hollerith machines, comparing names across generations, address changes across regions, families trees and personal data across unending registries. It did not matter that the required forms or questionnaires were filled in by leaking pens or barely sharpened pencils, only that they were later tabulated and sorted by IBM's precision technology." [Edwin Black, IBM and the Holocaust: The Strategic Alliance between Nazi Germany and America's Most Powerful Corporation. Second paperback edition. Washington, DC: Dialog Press, 2009; pg. 107]."

The issue has been alive for a decade already and remains unsettled, see http://news.cnet.com/2009-1082-269157.html ?Probing IBM's Nazi connection: Since its publication in February, Edwin Black's book ?IBM and the Holocaust: The Strategic Alliance Between Nazi Germany and America's Most Powerful Corporation? has stirred unprecedented controversy among students of the Holocaust, American enterprise and information technology." (CNet.com, 2001-9)

It is not too difficult to see that if one changes the words "Jews" with "mortgagees" having some trouble in these tough times, that it makes perfect sense that IBM-Seterus, a company with a long history of hunting people down, lining up documents from all sorts of directs, and then using them to deadly effect to create millions of homeless, should now be in the forefront of serving the Banksters as they lunge for people's homes.

It is an even greater scandal, that the US government through its total control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac should hire companies like IBM-Seterus to do its dirty work of tracking down citizens in the same manner that the Germany used IBM's technology to hunt down Jews and others who then had no place to hide.

Shame on you IBM-Seterus and shame on any bank or company that uses them.

P.S.

Not just Jews but others have also sued IBM, see http://www.business-humanrights.org/Categorie ... tclaimbyGypsies ?IBM lawsuit: Holocaust claim by Gypsies (Business & Human Rights, 2002) and http://www.pcworld.com/article/41222/ibm_faces_suit_over_naziera_ties.html ?IBM Faces Suit Over Nazi-Era Ties: Holocaust survivors claim company provided punch-card systems used in camps."

Left on messages; called at 2:53 pm Oct 4, 8:46 am Oct 5, and 11:03 am Oct 5. I picked up the last one they were looking to collect a bad debt form someone who has never lived here. They didn't beleive me. They also would not leave their company name.

I have lived in this house since 1975 and had this phone number since 1982.

Don't you think I would know who lives here? Can I sue them for creditor harrassment?

Just another new number to ignore folks!  Horrible company, and they are not lenders!  Low - life scumbags that will literally show up at your door.  Don't give them information.  They are collectors that take advantage of homeowners looking for real help and feed lies just to foreclose.

Next time you get a call and do pick up ask them if they don't mind if you record them.  And this usually works.
