Those Idiots, unbelievable. Everyday and every morning and every night. If I see them in a bar - I'm going to kick their a**. We have no protection in this company from anyone. The Govt will only protect the caller and not us. Something has to be done. What needs to be done is the phone companies must allow consumers to block numbers on their phone without charging extra money. We should be able to block whomever is calling us anytime without extra charge. Someone needs to start a petition and send it to a Senator. Whatever needs to be done - someone needs to do it. I don't know what to do besides complain to a Govt organization that is going to do nothing except waste tax payers money and send me a letter in the mail telling thanks for complaining. But they cannot do anything about it. They are all linked up together - the bad guys and the Govt. I'm sure there is a Lobbyist for the SCAM callers that pay off the Govt organization. This is b***s***.

Bought a att pre-paid phone to accept only very important calls on. This plan isn't working since these people keep calling many times a day! Als, calls from 503-403-2665, and another number! Blocked all of these numbers, but they keep calling. I just looked at my missed calls on this phone and there are 15 missed calls from these 2 numbers! This is insane and should be against the law! I don't owe Well's Fargo anything either! Signed the FL Do Not Call list with all of my phone numbers, but doesn't start until July! I can't handle another day of this!

| K 2012-01-09 18:16:54 Unknown |
Calls several times during the day...never leaves a message...often the phone doesn't even ring just goes straight to show as a missed call. Have tried calling back...not a thing there...no ringing, nothing. If it was truly important to them for me to answer the phone or call back, shouldn't they leave a message? Oh, well...

I can show you how to get a call-blocker. Mine was free, and works great-no one bothers me, and my phone is silent. For more information, see my post on whocallsme for (305) 918-2338.

I am an admin for a small business that does not bank at Wells Fargo and I get probably 20 calls a day from this number. Sometimes they call 5 or 6 times in a half hour! They always hang up after my standard greeting, so they never say anything. Why would these people continue to call and hang up so many times a day?!

Received call from them six times from 8:15 to 10:00 AM this morning. ID shows Wells Fargo and also blank but same number. I pick up and no one is there. I called my local branch of Wells Fargo and there is no reason to be getting calls like this. What is the Atty General in Oregon doing? Is he going after this scam?

Phone calls numerous times a day, as early as 6:00 am to 11:00 at night. I have no credit card, loans, home mortgage, debts or anything else from Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia). I've asked them to not call me; my requests are ignored. In the last hour, they've called three times. This has been on-going since May 2011.

SPAM SPAM SPAM ... and HARASSING @ that.
WHO else can we REPORT this to?
I'm sorry, but aren't there CONSUMER PROTECTION laws for this? Or do we have a Congress and local govts that keeps underfunding Enforcement - you know, because it costs money - or it's anti-capitalism. Jeezzzzzzzz
Where is the People's (peaceful) Revolution? Let me know - I'm there.
I WANT protection!

A woman name Tinelle(?) answered when I called stating this number is continually calling my daughters cell #. The first time I called, she hung up on me after hearing my complaint..... I called right back telling her she just hung up on me, and for her and her company to stop calling my daughter. My daughter does not have any Wells Fargo accounts what so ever. Tinelle (?) was very rude when I told her my daughter is too young for cc's and to stop calling her, (she also wanted my daughters dob....), DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFO!!!! It is obviously a scam.

Update. I called 503-403-2675 after my earlier posting today. It answers "Wells Fargo Card Services." After waiting a while I asked for an address to write a letter to stop collection calls I'd been getting for over a year about a debt I don't owe Wells. I was told I could stop Wells Card Services from calling by faxing a letter to 503-614-5741, but must write anyone else calling me a letter to their address. I asked if she had a copy of my letter to my local branch last year about why I don't owe Wells. When I provided my name, the last four digits of my social security number, the address Wells has, plus my mother's and my own maiden names, she said her records didn't match, so she could immediately remove my phone number from the mistakenly attached records and end all calls from Wells Fargo Card Services. With Vonage I not only get a record on my phone of the time, date, names and numbers (except "private" names or "unlisted" numbers) for all incoming calls, but a voicemail if one's left, plus I also get an e-mail with the voicemail attached to an e-mail stating the time and date as well as the caller and number (if the latter aren't hidden by the caller). I can thus readily document 10 "Wells Fargo 503-403-2675" calls between 8:14 a.m. on 08-03-11 and 1:27 p.m. today that should have been made to someone else. Similarly, I can document all the past calls since Wells first took the unauthorized actions that I believe establish I don't I owe Wells anything!

This week, I began receiving frequent calls without any message being left. My phone registers them as from "Wells Fargo 503-403-2675." The calls on 08-03-11 were at 8:56 a.m., 11:50 a.m., and 7:32 p.m. On 08-04-11 the calls were received at 8:47 a.m., 10:43 a.m., and 2:28 p.m. Today, 08-05-11 the first call was at 8:14, the second at 10:32, the third at 12:50 p.m., 1:26 p.m., and I assume there will be more. I believe the last unwanted calls about a purported debt to Wells Fargo were from a law firm, Rash Curtis. I'd told Wells to cancel a debit (for non-refundable tickets I couldn't use but for which I'd bought cancellation insurance from the same vendor in case I couldn't fly) and Wells agreed to credit my account in the disputed amount but said if it didn't find the transaction fraudulent it would have to cancel the credit. Wells later reported back that it didn't find the transaction fraudulent. It would thus allow the transaction, so I cancelled the debit card to keep it from doing so, and said I'd go to court with the vendor, if need be, because it was minimally misleading to sell "insurance" that didn't cover any of the two reasons I couldn't fly that I'd described at length to the vendor and Wells.
Three months after I'd closed the card, to be sure the debit couldn't be made, I had a huge overdraft and found out that Wells had charged the contested debit to my card, months after it was defunct, and expected me to pay the overdraft. Wells claimed the "credit" to my account, wasn't a credit back to me of a denied transaction (i.e., the equivalent of stopping a check), but a loan Wells made to my account while Wells investigated my (well-explaned) claim that the charges were fraudulent.
I told Wells to close all my accounts, that I'd bank where my money was spent as I wanted it spent, not at one that made me a loan I didn't apply for to pay someone I didn't want paid, and describe that as a "credit" to my account, and additionally use a closed card for any purposes. I.e., I and/or a court of law could decide if the charge I disputed was fraudulent--not Wells. Wells closed everything but my checking account, claiming it couldn't close an overdrawn account, and kept adding fees while the "overdraft" continued. I told Wells that if it left it open in spite of my instructions, Wells could pay any fees as well; i.e., I owed Wells nothing for (once again) substituting it's decision for mine. I wrote Wells a full summary of everying previously discussed by phone with Wells as to the vendor and Wells. I don't know how many months the account was left open, but Wells finally closed it in spite of having told me it couldn't close an "overdrawn" account. Wells tried to collect, but I referred them to my previous discussions and correspondence. Wells then apparently sold this "bad debt."
I've told each person who's called to get the complete file from Wells because it said why I didn't owe Wells nor owe the original vendor. I'd then usually not answer or not return any messages relentelessly left but picked up one subsequent call (from Rash Curtis, I believe), to say they were being bilked if Wells sold them this purported debt without providing the information needed to know why I didn't owe one of the big four predatory lendors in the bail-out scandal, for making me a loan I didn't apply for so Wells could pay someone I told Wells not to pay. I'd bought non-refundable tickets and cancellation insurance in case I couldn't fly to Mexico as planned. Then, the U.S. State Department issued a Travel Advisory Warning warning against traveling to Mexico because all of a sudden Americans were being hunted down in broad daylight and killed even in luxury hotels in Mexico City. Also, when my daughter and I went to pick-up our passports on the day we were told they'd be available, the Passport Department told me I had to prove I was an American citizen. (I was born in an army hospital in the Panama Canal Zone 60 years before that U.S. territory became Panama's again). Until then, apparently even the clerks in the Passport Office didn't know I now had to prove what I'd been all of my life: an American citizen born to two U.S. citizens; It took a week to get an expedited certified copy of my deceased Dad's birth certificate from Boston Massachusetts to be able to get my passport; it shows my birthplace as "Panama," not "the Panama Canal Zone."
I'd called the ticket vendor but been told that because the State Department didn't preclude flying to Mexico, only advised against it, warning that it was unsafe, the cancellation insurance wouldn't cover the tickets. I called back to add that I also couldn't fly without a passport; once again, I was told the insurance didn't cover that either. It apparently would only cover the cost if we were hospitalized, but not if we were shot and killed and due to any legal inability to leave the country without a passport. I'd have never bought the tickets, if I'd known the vendors' "cancellation insurance" was so useless.
