Saw the missed call on my phone and called back.  Said it was for a survey so I blocked them.  I think that my wicked sister-in-law put me on some spam list along with our other sister-in-law because this number called both of us within an hour.

Never answer call that I don't know the area code.  Why can't something be done about this.

Don't call these people back !!!!!  Having worked in computers most of my life I know for a fact that if you answer the call or even worse,  return the call they will record your number as a good working number and SELL it to other telemarketers.  The "good numbers" lists are expensive and get sold to a lot of people that don't have robo-dialing.  It's the same thing with e-mail... "press this button to UNSUBSCRIBE" well, if you didn't subscribe in the first place why would you need to unsubscribe?  So, for those of you UNFORTUNATE enough to have picked the call up or returned the call without searching online (like me) the best thing to do is screen your calls or get a new number.  Once you are in the system as a good number.... your "fair game"

I screen all calls that I don't know the number for, especially my cell phone because it is with me all of the time.  The last thing I need is it ringing all of the time for no good reason.  It rings more than enough now!  My home phone is hooked up to a fax machine for the same reason.  That way telemarketers can get an ear full of high pitched fax tones when they decide to try me during dinner.  

By the way, do not call lists are only for those that purchase numbers the legal way.  When collectors call all known numbers to get a debtor on the phone, they don't bother taking you off the list if you answer and say the person doesn't live here... because people lie to debt collectors. (One of the biggest reasons I put a fax machine on my home line.)  I got calls every day for 3 years after moving to TX for the lady that used to own the phone number I got assigned. Some days I'd only get 4-5 calls, but most days I'd get upwards of 10-12.  I actually threatened the person (still living in the area) to take them to small claims court if they didn't update their number.  I also cancelled all of the maintenance calls for direct TV, and advised the local video store I wasn't bringing back any videos so they might as well suspend the account.  My fax machine has fixed the problem it seems.  My home line only rings tops once or twice a day... and usually that is faxes coming in.

Called my cell.  I accepted the "survey."  It went through the options to accept or decline again, I accepted again to tell them not to call, and it hung up.  I am worried that it is someone trying to steal my identity by confirming my cell number.  (Don't know if that is possible, but people can find ways to hack anything these days).

I'm on the do not call.   With these morons it don't matter, and complaining to the do not call govt seems to do no good.   The govt is to busy with their own agenda.   Could care less about these annoying calls as far as I see it.  Its a Robo dialer, since my wife got one on her cell within 6 seconds of mine.  They are using 503 468 5954 also, again Astoria, Oregon.

They called me and my girlfriend on the same day. That is weided because we don't share anything to gether other then our bodies. This is troubling me. I don't know anyone in Or.

Called today, no message...but will call repeatedly.  Guess I'll have to store the # and set to send to vmail.  Ugh!!!

Called my Google Voice number, left no message, so now I will block them so they never get through again.  Thank you Google Voice.

Got a robo-call from Astoria, OR from this number.  Male voice said it was a 30 sec political survey and a donor would award a free cruise to those who participated in survey, but taxes and transportation and other fees would have to be paid by me.  I am on the Texas Do Not Call registry.  We were to Press 1 to participate in survey.  I hung up.

Sorry!  My error.  I classified this as a "political" call but it is actually a telemarketing scam under the guise of a political survey.

I received a call from PO America on my land line, my number is registered on  the do-not-call list, if calls once more, it will be reported.....I did not answer and there was no message left...  Can't be important....

This outfit has also called me on 503-468-5198 but I have a Digitone call blocker so they can't get through.  The FCC has recently passed a ruling requiring telemarketers to get your consent before calling you; even if they have done business with you in the past.  However, the ruling exempts those calling for non-profit, political, or non-commercial organizations.  So what good does that do?  Good luck guys.

They are using the "Political" word in an attempt to make the illegal telemarketing call ok. Political Poll calls are not illegal. EVERYONE report these pile of s##t idiots to the Do Not Call List. The more reports they get on that number the greater chance the Feds will crack down on them. Makes you want to beat them to a pulp.

I just got a call too - they said it was a survey about the financial state of the country. Then it was a lady trying to sell Caribbean Cruise Line - she kept saying today is your lucky day - and kept wanting my last name. I said no thank you and hung up.

They just called my office phone. I did not answer and they left no message.

This is the THIRD phone number to call my home -- and about the 6th time they've called my home -- with a recording telling me that I've been 'selected' to be given a 'free' 2-day trip to the Bahamas if I take a 30-second survey. Three different caller-id's (2 out of Astoria, OR and 1 out of Kent, WA) have called 6x in just the last week and all with the same recording even though my phone is registered on DO-NOT-CALL registry.

It's a cruise company (P&O America Lines) that uses a telemarketing contractor to conduct personal travel surveys.  But then after 10 questions they try to sell you a Carribbean cruise.  Illegal to disguise the real intent.  Reported them to the FCC.gov on line form.

First time from this number, not answered, no message left. I get SPAM calls like this all the time and I do not answer if I do not recognize the number. Eventually they stop calling from that caller ID #.

I don't answer any calls when a weird name come up on the CID. I find if you ignore these calls, they go away. I think the worst thing to do is acknowledge them. I get all kinds of weird callers & I come on here & they are solicitors, sales people, con artists or thiefs. So I never answer & they go away. It may bother some people not to answer the phone but it works for me.

Just called my number and left a voicemail to press 1 if I were D King or 2 if I were not D King.  Have no idea who would be calling my cell phone from this area or phone number.

I recognized the Caller ID name of "PO AMERICA" as TELMARKETING SPAM and a **SCAM** and just picked up the phone then immediately hung up to break the call and 'confuse' the ROBODIALER.  That seems to help cut down on the number of REPEAT calls from these numbers, although this SCAM OUTFIT has called on numerous other numbers in the past.

But, if you are home/have your cell on you, try this.  It may help to slow these SOBs DOWN!
