So, when I got the same text all of you did, I immidiately called Wells Fargo. After verifying that this was a scam, I texted the number back. "Nice try. Your information has been forwarded to Wells Fargo, and Federal Authorities. It's a shame you feel the need to steal from hard working people. I hope you are caught someday."
I know these people probably have no sensibility, but I figured I'd have some fun anyway.

I also got a message from this number advising me to call 5038776625 because my card was deactivated, but it wasn't, I still had 2 weeks left of activity. So don't answer it.

I got the same thing as everyone else this morning from 507-720-9309: "WELLS FARGO ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at: 612-886-9297". Luckily my first instinct was to look at my online account to see if this was true, which it wasn't.
Being from MN I recognized the area codes and I thought it was strange that the number it came from was from southern MN about 2 hours from the cities, and the number they wanted me to call is from Minneapolis and northwest suburbs.

Received a text message: "WELLS FARGO ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at: 612-886-9297."
Looks like the same scam, just a new call back number.

+15077209309: WELLS FARGO ALERT: Your ATM CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at: 650-550-9255.
Unfortunately I felt for that (ok, you can blame me, I deserve it). FYI, the phone given does reach out to an auto answering machine that follows 100% the same protocol of Wellsfargo legitimate number, INCLUDING ASKING FOR YOUR PIN NUMBER! Just after typing that a bell rung and I dropped the call. I them immediately called Wellsfargo and to my desperation was not helped since I was in my car and did not have the last deposit amount to confirm! I stopped by the first ATM I found and changed my pin. I then drove home and called Wellsfargo Security, and AFTER PROVIDING MY CARD NUMBER AND PIN TO A MACHINE!!!!! manged to talk with a banker to report the issue. I was informed it was a know phishing number that BTW IS STILL ACTIVE AS OF TODAY, THEY EVEN VERIFY THAT THE CARD NUMBER IS VALID BEFORE ASKING FOR FUTHER INFO. (I tried calling them again and use a random 16 digits, without success) I WISH WF CHANGED THEIR PROTOCOL AND NEVER ASKED FOR YOUR PIN OVER THE PHONE!

My husband and I, both with 650 area code on our cells, got a text from 507-720-9309 that said "wells fargo alert: Your atm card has been deactivated. Please contact us at: 650-550-9255." We both had a wells fargo account that we closed a few years back so we knew this was crap, (no way we even had debit cards active through them) but I searched for the 507 number they texted from and found this page. I'm really tired of this cheap scam stuff.

I got a call from this exact number reporting that my Wells Fargo ATM card has been deactivated. I don't use Wells Fargo. Most likely a scam.

Just got this text, claiming to be Wells Fargo and telling me my card is deactivated. I called my bank, the text is a FRAUD.
Reverse look-up says it is a landline in Minnesota.
The 503 number to call is located in Clackamas Country (greater Portland, OR area) also a landline.

Got the same text to call a 503 area code number which asks for your 16 digit card number. Called Wells Fargo to report.

I just got a text msg from 507-720-9309 that read, "your Wells Fargo account has been deactivated, call 503-688-9247". Naturally, I looked up Wells Fargo's REAL number and called them. They verified that neither of these numbers is valid for them and that phishers are very tricky about having people call them and getting info that way.

Got a text msg with a 213 number to call allegedly from Wells Fargo. Calling that number it asks you to enter your card number. Of course it doesn't say which card (I have multiples). So I called WF and they advise it's a scam. They've been getting calls from all over and they are doing whatever they do to catch them. So ignore it.
