I have been getting harassed non stop by that number as well as others by this group that sounds foreign.  What can be done?  I have no freaking clue what the man is talking about. Can I go to my local police and file charges?  I don't even know who to file charges against????  I feel so victimized.  How do you get it to stop short of changing all my numbers????

I received a phone call from a foreign man saying that I had to contact him or have my attorney call them. He said his name is John Walter and phone number 951-389-0290. He also told me that if I did not contact him the very second I heard the message, he wished me good and and 'God Bless you' is all he said. These peolpe are scammers, to start a foreign mad named John Walter?
He did not say from which company in the message

the law firm was David Cooper. No one would ever tell me what I was supposdly getting sued for, then it went from being sued to criminal chages and i was going to be picked up and taken to CA. My mom got on the phone and told him to f off and he told her to f off right back, now you tell me that aint a scam B.S. it is.

law firm stateing that  i was being sued for something and I needed to call this number back. I called the number back and this guy that said he was an lawyer wanted my lawyers info and said a warrent was being issued for my arrest and i would be transported to CA for a criminal offance. I have never been to CA nor have I ever committed a crime. This is a crock!

I have received several phone calls from this number claiming that I got a $300 payday loan back in June 2011.  I was deployed at the time so there is no way possible that I could've done this.  They kept on insisting that I was lying and that if I did not pay them that the Oceanside PD would come pick me up by the end of the day.  I ignored that cause I knew that this was a scam but they called my place of work (no longer enlisted) and told my boss that I was deliquent and being sued for $18,000.  My supervisor put me on a leave of absence until I get this taken care of.  I tried telling her that this was a scam, but she didn't want to hear me.  So now I am not working, not earning money and putting my family in struggle because of this scam!  I am so irritate that people in this economy would try and fraud people out of their hard-earned money!  Do these people have no heart?  I know I couldn't sleep at night if I was knowingly scamming people out of their money.  I wish I could reach through the phone and choke "Adam Smith".

our human resources received a call from mr john walters claiming he is from customer affairs and legal matters.  i called the number and somone by the name of atty david cooper answered and asked for my home phone..i gave him my number and he confirmed my social security number, bank account and home address.  he told me i owed from us cash advance and i asked him the company name and he started getting upset.  he told me that i will get arrested in an hour but if i want to settle this outside the court the i can send the money through western union.  he did not want to hang up the phone so he was waiting until i got to the western union...i filled out the form and gave it to the cahier at the western union...the cashier noticed that it was fraud and called the fraud the dept...i was told to hang up the phone and the phone ring again the guy from western union answered and ansked him questions and he told him to f*** off..... then someone called again from # 1911 saying he is from the LAPD but sound the same with an Indian accent.

Ive been getting the same calls as well. Ive been in the collection industry for 15 years. I told them I have filed with FDCPA they wont stop calling. Complete fraud they go beyond the guidelines of collecting a debt. I called an attorney and they said its a scam. They cant threaten, arrest or disclose any personal information when speaking to 3rd party according to your state laws. Tell them to go ahead and pursue you and counter them with harrassment, violation of FDCPA laws. No attorney will file a class action lawsuit because its a scam

Just called that number. The guy said his name was Attorney David Cooper and he was the supervisor. I told him I knew it was a scam and he hung up.

Got a message at work from this number to call a person by the name of Bob Pinco. When I called the number it to a voicemail of a woman by the name of Karen.

These people called my job and told my assistant that there was an important legal matter that I needed to handle immediately.Could't speak English well either. Found out when I was soliciting quotes for car insurance for my daughter,one of the companies I gave my info to sold it.

I recieved a call from them too but this man clearly from the Middle East claimed they were Attorney David Cooper

I was called at my place of employment which my fiance use to work at and this man from the middle east claiming to be Mark Brown was looking for my fiance---well I told him that I was his wife how could I help him. He asked me for my fiances atty info? I asked him for what he sd they were filing charges against him. I asked what law firm he was with he said his boss was Atty David Cooper. I asked to speak to David Cooper and he would not tranfer my call he told me to call back to the number he was calling from and ask for ext 127---I became irate and advised him that
I work for a collection agency and have been for 6 years. I advised him of all the laws he has broken with the FDCPA---he told me that he will have local law enforcement at my house the next day!!!! ILLEGAL!!!!! He refused to give me  the name of the law firm and when i called the number back
510-761-5460 it was a womans cell phone!!!!!!!!!!!

I also received calls from this number as well. I have never tooken out a loan with this compnay! The caller claims someone is picking and taking me California. He said he was rep. for a federal law firm. After our first conversatin,I called back and someone woould hang up the phone.
I agree it is a scam.

I have received threatening calls from this company about a payday loan which i never took out, especially since i am active military and was deployed at the time. FRAUD!!!!!!

Received  several calls all ready today when i did speak with somebody they claime to be from a law firm  russell and miller and want number for my attorney for felony wants from california for a payday loan i defaulted in march they had my bank name  let the person know that i have not applied for a paydal loan in march , caller then told me i will be arrested and taken back to california . call went no further
