Got a call from "Business American Services", saying that they "got a report" that my computer had viruses. When I asked how they found out, they came up with a whole bunch of garbage that I couldn't understand from their Indian accents. I asked for their phone to call later. When I called, they didn't even answer with the company name but "Hello?"

Caller (Indian or Pakistani accent) told me they knew that something bad was downloaded to my computer. When asked for details they told me to turn on my computer. When I told them it was Mac they said it was for Windows only, then changed their minds and asked me to turn on my Mac. When I asked for a number to call back on they originally gave me (510) 900-3856. I said I had to go into another room to get to my computer and the changed the number to a 510-900-3080 number. They asked me to type the following address into my computer: WWW.TEAMVIEWER.COM.

Unknown internet tech support calls saying they have a report that my computer in infected with a virus that is corrupting my hard drive. They want me to got to web site WWW.TEAMVIEWER.COM and perform some kind of download to fix the problem. I use Avast Pro antivirus and it says my system is perfectly clean and secure. I do not follow through with his requests, instead ask for a phone number to call back so I can finish my dinner. I suspect this is a scam to load spyware on my system. BEWARE !!!
