I was told I owed $1,350 but would be reduce to $600.00 if paid today or I would pickup here @ work I am calling from Delaware. I am going over the my bank statements to check.

I am not sending a dime till they fax me information in ref to that and as of now they have not. Are they for real??

These people will try to make it sound all official when they call.
It has been months now and nothing has happened to me. Well as far as being arrested or receiving a warrant for my arrest. The treatening calls started since last Oct. 07 and they have tried to collect from me since then. I really don't mind paying what I owe if I owe it.  But it is just how they go about trying to collect it.  That is why I refuse to pay it.

I know there is alot to read here, but I did learn all these threats are against the Texas laws.  Even if you did default on a loan.

Do payday loans possibly violate
other laws?
Yes. Besides usury, payday lenders that
pretend to be sellers often violate the
Truth In Lending Act as well. TILA
requires disclosure of the annual percentage
rate, the finance charge, the total of
payments, and the schedule of payments.
Since 2000, it has been undisputed that
TILA applied to payday loans as extensions
of credit. Because businesses pretending
to be sellers instead of lenders
often fail to provide any TILA disclosures,
this type of payday lender is also
liable under TILA.
In addition, all payday lenders may
violate the Texas Debt Collection Act by
threatening hot check arrest or criminal
prosecution when the check or checks,
serving as security, are deposited and then
bounce. Such threats by a third party,
such as an attorney or an independent
debt collector, also may violate the federal
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Are there any other protections
against payday loans?
Yes. In October 2006, in response to a
report that indicated that predatory
loans to members of the military were
interfering with readiness, Congress
passed a defense authorization act that
included a provision that provided special
protection to members of the military
and their dependents. Specifically,
the Talent-Nelson Amendment proscribed
the making of loans with interest
rates exceeding 36 percent, the making
of consumer loans with binding arbitration
clauses, the use of checks and other
payment instruments as a form of collateral
for consumer loans, the rollover of
covered loans, any prepayment penalty,
and any requirement that payment be
made through salary allotments. If any
loan was made in contravention of this
statute, the loan contract is rendered
void and unenforceable. This statutebecame effective Oct. 1, 2007. According
to a recently promulgated regulation
issued by the Department of Defense,
this law clearly prohibits the making of
payday loans with terms of 90 days or
less, because they charge far more than
36 percent in annualized interest.
How do you find an attorney to consult
about a payday loan matter?
If you are not acquainted with a
lawyer who could handle such matters,
contact the State Bar of Texas Lawyer
Referral and Information Service tollfree
at (877)983-9227. If you are a member
of the military or a dependent of a
member of the military, you should seek
advice from your local Judge Advocate
General or JAG.

They called my in-laws last week looking for me. I have not been arrested or recieved any type of warrant and this has been going on since last year. If they were going to arrest me I think it should have already happened. I contacted my local law enforcement and explained what was going on and they told me that these guys are just your common bill collectors. They can't do anything to anyone!

I was contacted yesterday by investigator Watson, I figured this was fake, i called back and the female that picked up, hung up the phone immediately. this a** didnt think that I knew the laws or process in which this is all done, well surprise, surprise a$$****. in my honest to goodness opinion they should be butt raped by osama and his jail mates, followed by a good Ol' fashioned c**k/meat sandwich to the face...EXTRA "non-dairy" topping. Watson sounded like he was the "catcher" in their little relationship anyway. these jerks will get what they deserve in hell. Parker tried getting an attitude with me, well guess what you flaming A$$! you mighta had me if you were nicer. and oh dont worry if you dont like what I wrote here, you'll get a chance to say what you need to...WHEN YOU BECOME THE GIRLFRIEND OF A LARGE GROUP OF INMATES, I'LL BE THE ONE HOLDIN THE CAMERA!! You know what...I think they'd like to see YOU in orange. pretty soon YOU will be the one paying not me. Don't wound what you can't kill. Sincerely yours,

I had a message on my machine telling me I need to call back this number asap and ask for mike in Dept 10. On the caller ID it comes up Litigation Arbitration, So I call it back, and I get the voice mail to this compmay. This Mike calls me back and says I am being charged with 2 counts of theft. I took out a 150.00 loan back in September, I never recieved an email saying when my first payment would be taking out and I told them that. He said well that was too bad because when they try taking out the money and its not there its like writing out two bad checks. Well anyways, I now owe 1350.00 and because I have never been in trouble when you get a call like that you want to get it taken care of. So I wired them 50.00 to hold my case and then payments of 195.00 every two weeks.  After I sent the second payment my husband talked to our local police and we were told it was a scam. My parents even called this number, and told them it was fraud, they called me back and said that I have no right getting our local police involved and it wouldn't do me any good.

I can tell you that it was not me that had called you.  This is obviously someone who is using a phone number that I once had.  Please note, it was not us making those phone calls.  At the time we owned that number we had a legit business and never had a reason to call anyone unless they contacted us first.  So it is very possible that someone else obtained the number after we closed our business and phone accounts.

I recieved a call from this company also and they called my references telling them a warrant has been issued for my arrest. This is illegal but they are taking illegal actions to try to get money they loaned to me illegally. I just found out it is against South Carolina law for them to loan money over the internet to a resident of South Carolina and they know this so they are doing everything possible to get money but they won't get a dime from me! HAHAHA! And the name is just to scare you! You ain't scaring me punks!

Back in September 2007 I get a phone call at work and it was a guy called Travis Watson stating that he had a warrant for my arrest because I owe for a loan. First of all he didn't even say where he was calling from or anything else but that. Of course, I got scared and asked what was it for and he said that it was for a loan of $150 and that now I owe over $550. I told him that I could give him the Full amount of the loan so he can close my file and refused. Well I had to wire him $100 in order for him not to send the paperwork to the authorities.Anyway I was scared and wired the $100 a month later I get another call at work from a Rich Franklin stating the same thing that I falied to send more money and he had issued a warrant. I ignored it and a day later he calls me again at work and I was already gone and he went and told a co-worker my personal business that I commited a fraud and that I was going to go to jail for that. I was so mad when my co-worker called my cell to tell me about this guy, so right away I called the FTC and they recommended me NOT to send anymore money because this company is a SCAM they are not real. I'm just getting tired of all the phone calls I get at work (at least 5 times) everyday. I had asked for paperwork and refused to send it to me, I also asked for name and address of the Co. and also refused to give me that info. I think we all have to get together somehow and have these guys arrested.

I have 3 different phone #'s for them which are:
(512)340-0890 ,  (512)340-0745 and (512)340-0493

They called me from 512-340-0493 and stated me and my ex husband owe a cash advance, which was dated back in Jan 2007. I have been separated since Aug 2006 and we have no accounts together. So that can't be possible. He threated to have been arrested and charged with a felony. I have never been in any trouble and I don't see how it's possible for them to call and harass anyone. I told them I would forward there information over to my divorce att and they wouldn't give me a mailing address. I think it's a scam!!!!

I have a question? Did anyone get a nasty message after you posted your info on here? I got a nasty message saying I was lying about the felony. I'm just an everyday american working 9 to 5 I have no reason to lie about anything on here. He also said he would love to see my face when they arrest me and that he was not harassing me. I consider this harassment in every way, shape and form. I'm just wondering if anyone else got a message. Something has to be done this is crazy.
