The number has been spoofed. Call your carrier to have it traced or hit star 77 to block future spoofed calls. The legitimate owner of the number is not making the calls.

Answered call from this number but nothing on the other line.  After a few seconds, it was disconnected?

EVERY single day this number displays on my phone.  Never leaves a message.

This number has been calling me as well for a while. Every time I answer there is nothing on the other line. What is this about?

I got a call from this number tonight and there was no one on the other end. I checked the area code and it said Austin, Texas so I figured it was my friend calling, but then I realized it was some sort of solicitor or scam because about 10 minutes after I got a call from another number telling me I won a Caribbean Cruise and all I had to do was press 9 or something.

I had received  two phone calls one today n one yesterday but the number are

The number - 1-512-345-6789 has been calling my number every day for almost a month now and a few times I've even seen 1-712-345-6789 and 1-912-345-6789. I answered it once and there was no one there and the line just disconnected and since then i just let it ring. It definitely looks shady and definitely very annoying.

I know this isn't the same number but someone here mentioned it, I just got a call from 12123456789. On the ID there was no spaces or anything, just 12123456789. Any ideas?

Get these HBC calls about 110 different "promotions" on long distance services, insurance plans, etc. --- ever since Jerry Zucker took over the company, he has been selling out us Canadians to his global friends. Radisson and Desgroseilliers will be turning over in their graves.

because i don't have call display i have to *69 it (canada-folks...what were they thinking??) anyhow, i bet bell (our telephone provider) is on this little scam as everytime these idiots call, i *69 to get the number and bell gets their 1.50-crikey!!! can anyone say-conspiracy theory-i love the one about the hindi vm-i'll just say namaste...all you yogis out there...all together now!

Lots of dead air calls, but got a live voice and it was a call purportedly from Zellers offering a $10 discount on some sort of long-distance phone package.  Didn't stay on the line to learn any more.

Like all the others here, I've been getting the annoying 512 345 6789. We've got a "telezapper" cordless phone ( it works on some of the automated phone-dialers ), but unfortunately for us they keep on calling.

It seems I'm one of many to get this call and was told by my phone carrier that it originates in India, so I'll just do what everyone should do, IGNORE IT!, and eventually they'll give up on their scam.  They're just low-lifes with too much time on their hands, so why bother with them?

I found it was weird that it said it was from Austin, Texas. We have relatives there, but when they called a week ago they were already moved here for months. Didn't answer.

Got this call wanting me to sign up for long distance savings. I declined their offer of "paying just $1 network charge per month..."

Call from HBC about six month due amount of $356 on my HBC account.
She gave an address on which I have never lived. She wanted to confirm my address, but then it hit me because, I do not have an HBC account.

I told her that I do not have an HBC card, then she said, 'this is your name and this is your phone number. Give me your address so that I can send you the bill.' Then I guessed that it was a scam and I hanged my phone.

very rude people, would not tell where they are calling from, no message to be left, just want to speak to the 'person' they are calling for, and once they get a hold of the person, then they ask to verify ur address/hbc account number, its a scam, report these people!

Same as the first report.   Nothing on the other end of the line and disconnects after a few seconds.

Didn't pick up, but caller did not leave a meassage.  Weird.
