This recording called at 9:20 pm.  The called id said jcf.  When I answered, it said there was security problems with our debit card and it was deactivated and to stay on to reactivate it.  I hung up because we don't have anyone with those initials with our banking.  I called the number right back and it was another recording saying this number was temporarily disconnected.  I feel like they wanted my debit card number.  Beware of this number!

Got the same message last night after 10pm on my business phone regarding my personal account...i hung up right away.

I got a call from this number at 12:49 p m today.  Hung up because it was a recorded message.  I called the number back, the phone rang continuously with no answer.  Searched the number online.  It is a company based on 6th St in Austin.
If it smells like a scam, it most likely is.

I just got called by this number. Said my bank account with Washington Savings was being deactivated. I don't have an account with them. Pretty bad scam in my opinion, but hopefully nothing bad happens from it! Number came up as a Texas area code.

Just got the same call in Delaware.  Did a call back and the # is disconnected. Traced the # to Austin Tex. Wish my friend was still the Sherrif is Austin. Hope no one falls for this SCAM

just got call to my cell from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a msg. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the Playstation Network security leak... I was informed my info could have been comprmsd!

Got the same call at about 2:05 PM today on my cellphone.  Robotic type voice, but I did not hear the entire message.  I heard something about deactivating my debit card and to reactivate press one.  I pressed one and then hung up. attempted to call number back and an automated response stated the phone had been disconnected.  Beware!!!1

Just received a call from this number too. I have not listened to the voice mail but my ID said JCF as well. Googled right away...

I just got this call too and am glad I checked here before calling back.  Sounds like a scam.  It was an electronic woman's voice that started talking before the voicemail picked up so I wasn't able to get the whole message.  Bank of America wouldn't call my cell phone...

Got the call as others last night at 8:10 in the 260 area code on the home line and shortly thereafter on my mobile.  Saw the caller ID.  Interesting they put in initials, I think that is becasue they get more hits then if it says unknown caller....the intials still mean nothing.  I hung up and saved the number in my contacts under the name "Scam Attempt" in case they call back so everyone knows to ignore it.

I had reset a debit card pin at my bank the same day so it was an interesting coincidence to come in on two phone lines.   Banks and credit card companies are never going to call you like this so it wasnt even a question.

Just recieved the same call and did not give my info either!  It is 10:45 here!!!  I agree there needs to be an investigation.  I'm calling my bank tomorrow...

Received same call today and alerted mybank who reissued a new card to be safe. Live in nor cal.

Just got the same call.  hung up.  thought is was a scam from the get go.  number came up originating in Texas on my cell phone.

They must be auto-dialing CHICO numbers today -- I had a call two hours ago.

I received a phone call today from 512-373-1183 at 2:07PM Pacific Time. The recorded message (with a foreign accent) told me that my Bank of the Cascades Debit Card Account had been deactivated and to press 1 to re-activate. I pressed one and was directed to enter my debit card account number and then press the # key. At this point I hung up and dialed the number back on my caller ID. A recorded voice  told me that this number had been disconnected and then a different recorded voice said "Goodbye". I hope no one falls for this scam!

I recieved a call from 512-373-1183 telling me that my atm card was disconnected and to reconnect it to enter my 16 digit number and pin number.  Didn't do it.  When I called the number it said it was temporarily disconnected.  There needs to be an investigation!!!!!

My opinion...  This is a fraudulent attempt to get your card and pin.  The voicemail was a text to speech message saying their was a problem with my debit card and to reactive your pin, press 1.  Not falling for it.  If I have pin problems, I'll call the number on my card--not respond to an incoming call requesting my information.

I forgot to mention, when I looked up the number,  512-373-1183, at one site, it said the call came from Austin, TX.
This number has shown up on both my phone & my husbands.  We do NOT answer unless we recognize the number.
