Yeah this same person tried to scam me by the name of Adewale Simson. The details were the same and they demanded to pay for my auctioned item via paypal. They also stated that it was a "gift".

Phone diff 613-590-6752.  Mr Williams did same with me.  Googled his name and. PayPal ant found him. Scammer !!

i am going through this right now with him about an iphone. im leading him on. its kinda fun but soon im gonna attack and tell him ive been scamming him by feeding into this BS. "i would rather pay in cash but the problem is i am out of the country and my daughter really wants it and her birthday is coming up so all you have to do is go to www.paypal.com and set it up fast and easy then give me your number and we will proceed from there."

after that i googled his number and am now getting him all excited about going through with it! IDIOTS!

513--239-7358 (5132397358) texted me about a Craigslist item I have for sale.  He gave this long story that he was buying it for his pastor's son, wanted me to send it to Michigan, and would use Paypal.  I quickly googled his number and noticed it was ohio.  I wrote back that I wanted to stay local and cash.  Then I wrote about him being in Ohio and wanting me to ship to Michigan as weird.  He never responded.  I wrote that he could send a money order to my PO Box and SURPRISE.....no response.  SCAM!!!!!!!!!

This is definitely a scam.  Whoever this person is wants your paypal info and gives you and address to send it to.  They use names of well known Nigerian people such as Adebayo Williams and Adewale Martins.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!

We just got the same call for a Craig list ad - this number is a total scam.

Same thing everyone else is reporting. He wanted my paypal email and my name. It sounded strange so I googled his number and saw all of these postings. Glad I followed my gut!

I also got contacted by 513 239 7358  regarding PayPal via Craigslist. Don't do it!

I am trying to sell me saxophone on craigslist and this guy from the number 513-239-7358 has been texting me about purchasing the sax through paypal. He was asking questions about the instrument that i listed in my posting, so i don't think he has actually seen it. I told him I didn't have a paypal account and he basically told me to go and set one up. He has to be a scam for sure. My instrument is going for $1,000 but I wouldn't trust him with $100.

They just text asking if a car I have for sale was still for sale and tried to get my Paypal info

Just got the same thing for a motorcycle.  What got me was the whole "Paypal is a safe and convenient way" to pay. That and buying it unseen.

This guy is at it again!! going to buy it for his cousin and wants you to mail it to him... yeah right.. don't do it.. report him!

This number called to purchase my item from Craigslist using Paypal. No doubt he would eventually have told me I need to send it to Kuzfurkistan. Beware

Yesterday I had a text from a weird number asking about my prom dress that I posted on craigslist wanting to know if i still had it. They said they lived in Nigeria and wanted me to set up a paypal account so I could receive the money. I explained to them Ive never shipped anything before or used paypal. They kept telling me how to do everything and how to active my bank account to paypal. Then they said they had sent me the payment to my account on paypal. I never seen anything saying Ive received a payment from anyone. I checked my email and had a message saying that i had to ship out the item and give the tracking number to the person that is buying the item in order to receive the money in my account. It said the name of the person and that paypal has verified the person. My mom called paypal and asked them if it was safe to ship it even though I didnt receive the money yet. She told them this person was from Nigeria and they told her it was a scam. They dont offer there business to Nigeria and he checked my account and said there was no payment being shown. Evidently this person made an email address and sent me that email. I canceled my paypal account and text the person telling them i called paypal and found out they were a scam and not to contact me again. I then had to call my bank to make sure they didnt hack into my bank account. Nothing was taken out but I put a block on it and Im going today to open a new account and cancel that one. What is confusing to me is if this is the same person doing this to people then how are they using different addresses and a fake zip code? Where are the items even being sent to if its not real? Im so glad I didnt send out the dress and caught it in time. I never had a response from that person when I told them they were a scam. Im very livid about this. There has to be something we can do to stop these people. Im from North Carolina so this is happening to people around the world. this is a true scam telling me they were buying it for a Christmas present for a cousin CRAZY!!!!!

I also just got a text from this number, claiming they would pay me with PayPal if I sent my email. It was obviously bogus, buti figured they were just phishing for my addy, didn't reize they were that evil.

I'm selling my iPhone 5 and my MacBook Pro and I've gotten two different messages from this guy soliciting me for my Paypal information making up stories about how he wants to pay me more than my asking price so I can ship it to his "friend" or his "grandson" out of state. Total scam and I legitimately hope nobody falls for this crap.

trying to sell a screen printer, got very badly worded/punctuated texts demanding paypal info. I of course refused and sent a message back stating that all transactions must be in cash at the time of transfer of goods. Why do they do this?

I got a message from a 330-879-8160 wanting to buy a laptop. Refuse to meet in person, and claims to be in Ohio. Text are demanding for paypal in very bad English.

Just got a text message from that number: "is this item still available?"  I replied before realizing it was probably a scam. Haven't heard back from him/her yet.

I got the same thing. This guy seems very persistent and demanding with his txt messages. The number he is txting from is 1-513-239-7358.  He is wanting my name and email address for pay-pal payment.  I am hesitant to give him this info. It is for the purchase of a camera for $250.00.

I posted an ad on craigslist to sell me PS3. This person at 5132397358 and the same person at 3308798160 have been requesting paypal infor to pay for an item not even seen. This is a scam yet I am not sure how it makes sence.

Yeah, they JUST did the same to me. I was too happy about the idea of having money finally, but thank God I had the help of my family to set my head straight and tell me this wasn't good. Who has a "pick up agent" anyway? They actually sent me a fake invoice on my email account from "PayPal" saying they had payed me, when really they hadn't. It was so bad, anyway. The numbers didn't add up, and their english was terrible and there were so many grammatical errors.
