Received a text message saying that my resume matched a job position from jobnab.com.

i was applying for a job on craigslist and got an txt msg saying "Hi, based on your resume you match a job I'm filling.  If you register at jobnab.com we can discuss the details if you're interested."  I sent a txt back to find name and company and no response.  Who seriously sends a txt in regard to a job response.

Yeah, I submitted my resume to hotjobs, careerbuilder and monster and I got a text from this number last week from "Anne" telling me that based on my resume I match a job she was filing and to register at jobnab.com.  They probably pulled my phone number from one of those sites as a legitimate employer.

Here's what happened when I went to the site. I filled out two pages of information and was given a phone number to call. When they answered the guy confirmed the information I typed in was correct and then asked me some questions about the types of jobs I wanted. Then he said they'd start sending me updates with jobs in my area that meet those requirements. I was given the option of how often I wanted those updates and i said daily. When I got the jobs a few I'd knew already, and a few I didnt. I followed the link and applied for them. Hopefully that clears the air a little bit.

I got the text and went to the website. It's a job matching service that interviews you to see what kind of job you're looking for and then sends you jobs in your area.

I'm almost positive that cell phones do not have caller IDs. The number has to be in your phone for you to know who's calling.

Got text. Didn't have a caller id but message said: if you are still interested in finding a job, visit our website. Prolly got my resume off of Monster.

No, caller IDs are programmed in the numbers. If it doesn't come up, it's because there is none.

Cell phones are different than other phones. They want to limit the amount of data sent to keep costs down so they don't send caller ID info. The number has to be in your address book to come up in caller ID.

I didn't get anything in my Caller ID log, but the text did say it was from a girl named Anna.

What kind of job it is?

I got the text too. I've been applying for so many jobs lately I can't keep them all straight.
