I answer the phones at an MR facility. No way is there any legit reason for Wells Fargo to call here; our ladies are not allowed to have credit cards. Good thing we have caller ID.

They have an automatic dialer. it basically runs through the number list it's fed and calls and calls and calls until someone picks up, and until the account is paid.

It is Wells Fargo, they charged off the account, and are now taking me to court! With no job and none in sight, they want their money after repeatedly telling them that I was told by my financial councelors only to pay for housing and auto related expences! None of my credit cards get anything! I am glad that I have a caller ID box!

Crazy Wellsfargo keeps calling the house even after repetitive request to stop calling as no one in the household as a Wellsfargo account. What can we do to sue them?

TiaWes-
They can't "harrass", and they have to call during certain hours. So calling and doing nothing, during allowed hours, can't really be called "harrassing". Persistent pinheads such as this are easily rattled, so if you want to create some movement in the situation take the calls, record them, and do your best to piss them off. If you can get them to swear, or threaten, you add to your arsonal if this ever becomes a legal matter. Collectors calling is really an opportunity to build "dirt" on them, and a waste of both thier and your time- really no legal bearing. You have no obligation to talk to them verbally and it rarely assists you to do so but if you do- make it fun for both parties! Bear in mind the average collector has an IQ of about 15- that is why they do collections and don't have a real job- like "sales" or something.

Calls several times a day-all week, 7 days, but never leaves message on answering machine. I don't know if there is some law or something but others like GE DO leave a message. It is very frustrating and annoying!
Does anyone know if debt collectors are required to leave a message AND if the are supposed to call Monday thru Friday and only from 8AM to 9PM? I can not seem to get clarification on this. Also, if it is a business is it not REQUIRED that their name show up on caller ID? Curious to know these answers. TIAWes
