I got the call this morning at 8:03 and it woke me up. I have a home-based business but I don't have a biz telephone number. The caller ID showed 515-369-5937,  INBOUND CENTER. I didn't stay on long enough to get the call-back number if I wanted to sign up for their credit card processing (I don't take any credit cards, by the way). Of course, I was not able to get through calling the 515 number, but after I turned my computer on and entered this number and found this site, I saw the 866 number, called it and talked to a real guy. He said I'd be off the call-back list. I'm going to also block it using U-verse's website. I hate calls like this. Makes me not want to answer my phone, but when I am sleeping, I automatically pick up the phone and don't look at the caller ID. Besides, it could be a real customer at the other end.

Called at 8:02 this a.m.; left a message "Nicole from UPC."  It was about credit cards & she left a # to call back.  We're on DO NOT CALL LIST.

i answered a call from 515-369-5937 just to hear a guy say , "sorry wrong number" What is up with it when i called it back to see who it belonged to( i was just curious)  it says the number cant be reached.  I looked it up on the net and found this sight, so i posted this.

Recording.  Said her name was Nicole at UBC.  Gave this number and asked that I call about my credit card processing:   866-858-4540.  I called to ask about having my number removed.  A guy answered, refused to give his real name and said there was nothing I could do as it's "legal".


UBC should be ashamed.

Called my home @ 8 a.m. and left female voice message saying I was entitled to new credit card equipment for my business - I do not "do" credit cards and the phone number is not a working number but she left a return # (866) 858-4540 and I get an answering machine.
I have called that machine several times in my attempt to fill their voicemail and I leave no message.  Hope that will teach them to call my home at 8 a.m. = IDIOTS

And, yes, I am on the DNC registry which somehow means nothng these days.

UBC selling Point of Sale credit card processing machine.  They left a message on my recorder.

2 of my office lines received the call at the same time from this number 515-369-5937...luckily I had the chance to answer both. I got the same reply of "i'm sorry, wrong number" before being disconnected....i called the number back only to hear that the "call could not be completed as dialed" in a male voice...the weird thing is at the end of the message he pauses then says "INS 225"???

I got the bastard also this morning, he is one of those #uckers that gets paid for answered calls

Received call at my shop (business line) 0805 this morning. Male immediately states “wrong number” and hangs up. Caller ID reads 515-369-5937 INBOUND CENTER

I answered the call, and a man said "Sorry, wrong number", and then hung up.  A friend at AT&T indicates this is probably a way to ascertain that phone numbers are "real" and "live", for inclusion in a telecenter call list.  She indicates that, although computers are pretty good at culling "unreal" numbers, there's no better way to verify that a number is "real", than to have a person make a call.

I read all these posts so far and thought, cool one way to reduce unemployment.

But with so many calls at same time being posted here..
isn't it possible that these voices/calls are still computer generated and recorded..
"They" are just getting better at it ?  So, I couldn't tell.

This is my 2nd call from this number received one back on 2/10th.  Exacly the same as before just after 8:00am, don't even get a chance to give the business name and the man immediately says "sorry, wrong number and hangs up!" Very annoying. Would really hate having his job! Jerks...

These Jerks call every freaking morning at my workplace at exactly 8am ! I answer it, noone is there, no recording no nothing, they just hang up on me. They come in on all 8 LINES at my business at one time, can't possibly pick them all up, so boss has gotten them too.  These people are wasting my time as well as my boss' time !!! Call the number back, says its out of Service ! Don't even know who to complain to !

Oh and BUSINESSES ARE EXEMPT FROM THE DO NOT CALL LIST ! Telemarketers can call Businesses all they want unless you tell them to not call anymore.  I found that out the hard way.

I just recieved a call from this number on a business line. SInce I did not recogonize the number I did not answer that phone with the business name... just a "hello". The guy said.. sorry wrong number. Guess I am not the only one he misdialed!!! What a bunch of losers. I have things to do at work. I dont have time for these games.

got a call goofy f guy said sorry, wrong number, usually i let a computer answer these calls and it uses a foreign language, as Indian or something they would not understand, last week it was German.

When I tried to call back, I got a recorded message that inidcated that the "number was not in service".

Received automated call from 515-369-5937.  AT&T has no idea who this number belongs to so you cannot even file a formal complaint for them violating the DO NOT CALL registry. Since the phone company cannot help, I plan on complaining to the FCC.  At least we know that these phone calls are coming from Des Monies, Iowa.

I personally feel very violated that these companies can intrude on my Sunday night, and we cannot even find out who they are!!!!!  It's time we all call the FCC and our state's attorney's office to stop the harassment of solicitors!

There is no at this number. It's not even a real number. It is a telephone SPAMMER called "Florida Energy Group" who makes up phone numbers and uses Skype so that you have no idea where they are coming from. In a few days, they will abandon this "number" and start calling you from another made up number. They have called me a dozen times in the last month. Each time, I have picked up and waited to talk to someone to find out who they are.

They are stating that as a customer of FLorida Power/Progress Energy, you are "entitled" to a free energy audit, which turns out to be a ruse to get into your home and then try to get you to buy thousands of dollars worth of solar panels. They have NOTHING to do with Progress Energy. The ONLY way to get them to stop calling is to report EVERY TIME they call you to the Florida State Attorney General's office!

Got a call from this number (515-369-5937) just a few minutes ago... picked it up in time to hear an animated female voice say, "...sorry, my mistake." CLICK. WTF?!? How can they make a number come up that doesn't exist?!?

Got my first call from 515-369-5937 tonight.  It was I thihk, a recorded voice of a female  who said "sorry about that" ...in kind of a flippant tone...then hung up.

I don't know who gave out my number, but I suspect a doctor's office has shared my information with so called "partners".  

I wish it were possible to trace this stuff.

The Texas Attorney General makes it very very difficult to complain about these unwanted calls.

Just received a call from this number saying my credit card needed to be reprogrammed, press 1 to reprogram or press 3 if I was reached in error.  I dont have a credit card!!
