They called my job asking for me. The receptionist tried to transfer the call but it wouldn't work. I got their number and called them. They wouldn't tell me the name of the company but said it was a personal matter. Then asked for my boss. ???? Why would you need my boss for a personal matter? And they were from India.

I received a call from this number twice and they say it's Microsoft calling because my computer isn't received updates.

I have had this number call me several times, and I HAVE NEVER PICKED UP THE CALL, after looking at caller ID!
I checked my in, and outbound calls for the past month through cablevision and find several of these "516- 000-0000 calls listed as having a duration of about 50 second's and the location PERU! anyone have any idea what this scam iss all about?

This number came up on my cell phone as strictly "516" no other number...at 2AM!!! Obviously I didn't answer and someone needs to discontinue their phone usage.

I just received a call from 516 at 4 am and I picked up the phone and the person knew me by name...scary but I said who is this and the person just hung up...how are these people getting our numbers its scary.

"+1 516-000-0000" called and asked if I remembered him. I said no and that he probably had reached the wrong guy. He responded by saying "no, you're John, accountant at G&B", which is correct. He went on telling me that we had spoken before and that he had recommended a stock that went through the roof. I just hung up.

I received a call just now from this number. I said hello but the call was immediately was disconnected.

calls up starts asking to talk to somone then just hang up straight away!

Just got a call from this number and he asked for my boss by his first name.  When I asked "who's calling", he hung up.  These people are RUDE and we want nothing to do with them or others like them.  Please, make them go away.

Just got a call from these guys asking for me by name, I clocked it was some sort of scam and said he must have the wrong number. He stumbled, asked is this not xxx and then said "oh you s**t" and hung up.

It was highlghy amusing. But I'm more concerned how they got through to my number

Got call from 516-000-0000 invalid number first thing out of his mouth was yea 9The Owners Name) very obnoxious and rude I just hung up on the rude individual obviously some tellemarketer

Got a call from 516-000-0000, they left me a message stating that they are from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. You probably I owe them $$ cuz I know I do!!

This person called my phone looking for beth. When I asked who is this she said don't you think this is a private matter. Then when I said beth is not here she hung up on me. BEWARE to any one who this person calls. This person is rude and if she does not get her way hangs up on you.

I also received a call from the phone number 516-000-0000 in my Spanish mobile phone. I answeared in Spanish and they hung up.

got a call from credit services again after I have put my number on the do not call registry.  The call came from 1-516-000-7356 and they are always rude and will hang up on me when I ask them not to call me anymore.  This time I pressed #9 to speak to someone and I didn't give them a chance to hang up on me, I screamed into the phone then hung up on them.

I just got a call from this number, I had to star 69 it because the guy who talked to me was so rude. He asked for my dad and when I told him he was not here he just hung up, I thought it was strange and I know they have called our house more than once. Beware of these jerks! I can't call them back either, if I would have gotten a hold of them I would have complained about them being so dang rude!

Get this call at least 2 times a day.  Its a woman (recorded message) she is complaining about NY Senator Maziarz. Just states 518-000-0000 and unknown nothing else.

This number called my dad's cell before Christmas, said his name was Ed something. My mum answered. He asked who she was and pretended to know her, like "Hey, it's Ed!". It sounded like the name of one of my dad's american clients so she asked him to hold. My dad was sick at the time so she told the guy that my dad was too ill to talk to him and that he'd call back. The guy got really pissy with her and hung up. Then a few weeks later the number called again and the guy said he was Ruben, again looking for my dad. He asked was he still sick. My dad had passed away by this time and when he was told this the guy said he was from Obsidian and was in the middle of a business deal with my dad. My mum said she'd never heard of him and asked what Obsidian did. He hung up. Beware these bastards. Other forums have confirmed that they're 'stock brokers' and they ask for your bank details.

call came in from "Anthony" - asked for our founder.  Said he wasn't in the office (he's not).  He asked when was a good time to call back.  I asked what company he was calling from - he said it wasn't a company.  I could hear talking in the background, which means stockbroker/recruiter and I never pass those along.  I said so and he replied it was a TV.  (Yeah, RIGHT!)  I said the Founder has asked me to vet the calls, and if information isn't given, I don't pass the calls through.  He said he'd call back later.  (Go right ahead - you STILL won't get through!)

Had to do a *69 to get the #.  Figures.

My receptionist got a call from 5160000000  .  Guy said his name was Anthony Phillip and asked for me by name.  On my caller id, it said the  number is from New York.  The person acted like they knew me.  They even asked for my cell phone.  My receptionist could hear what sounded like a calling center in the back.  Watch out and hang on to your wallets.

Called up asking for managing director, said who was speaking said... does it matter? so after a brief argument of the rules of our company he put the phone down

Tried 760-347-8054. Got a voice mail "Hi this is Kevin....etc." I told him this number was posted on the net as a callback number for 516-000-0000 and that someone was trying to reach me from there and that they were very rude to my secretary and others who answered the phone. I am awaiting a callback but none has been forthcoming

I get this call a lot. They ask for the owner of my company by name. When I say he isn't in and if I can take a message they proceed to say, "Can you give me his cell number. I lost it." I ask who is calling, they just hang up. This last time I played into the game. This is the information I got out of him (Don't know if it's bogus or not. Haven't tried to call it back):
