this co has called me looking for my grown daughter.  She was advised not to answer any of their questions, ( they wouldn't tell me, but possibly on a debt from almost 10 years ago that she was told by the original company was settled) because any contact with debt collectors  voluntarily is an admission that you owe a debt.  Actually these are debt PURCHASERS-- these companies buy old debts already settled or written off.

SO now they call me because I was a reference on this debt 10 years ago, and refuse to give me any details, or what the call is about, and this time the caller (with a heavy accent!) wouldn't give me a call-back number.  Bad business altogether....

This number keeps calling me, and never leaves a voicemail.  

I got this much figured out - there is a REAL company called NCO Group that is a collection effort, while these other companies claiming to be NCO are FRAUDS. Problem is distinguishing between who you are talking to on the phone - better to deal with them in wiriting - and if they can't/won't then they are not the real deal. And if you don't owe anything - then obviously it is a scam!!  I swear it's getting harder and harder to know WHO you can trust these days and I don't trust anybody that CALLS me for asking for money or information.

Got a call from this # yesterday, they tricked me into saying my first and last name , then put me on hold  for over 30 seconds , after which I hung up. Reported this incident to Lifelock!

I got a phone call from the 7100 number. they left a message, and didn't even have my name right. not even close. told me where they were calling from and their name, but she was a damn foreigner, so it sounded like "bablalalblala". told me it was urgent to call her back. never gave me a number to call. so I just called back the number she called on... "dadada - the number you have dialed is no longer in service. please hang up and try your call again".... must be super important what they need to tell me...

Receiving test messages from number 1121611611 everyday!  I even messed up and answered to a blank line once.  I have placed the number to block caller in my cell phone and I am registered on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY,  

What can be done to stop this!  Harrassment is still illegal in most states including mine.

They called me. It was no financial but some retard called me with 800 # but before it was the other number. Both are NCOs financial. They are calling because I cancelled time Warner and I owed 30 more which tw never sent a bill! But the retard from NCO wanted me to make a payment over the phone. What idiot would give cc number over the phone when they called me. Just a dumb process! Time warmer are bunch of retards! That y I left! Always lagging on the Internet or cable will freeze!

I received a call from them at 8:00am this morning when I was expecting a call at that time for a phone interview with a large company and in turn, I lost the opprotunity with that company. Jerks. I dont owe anything as well.

REVGRO is an out of business number that NCO Collections seems to have acquired.

The caller ID gives the false (REVGRO) identity so you'll answer.

Just block the number. If you can't block it then save it to your phone's address book as "IGNORE".

They don't give a crap about anybody they call. They just want their money and they'll do whatever they can to do it. I got a call from this number at 11 pm one night.

It looks as though they acquire phone #s of legit companies that are no longer in business to throw off any number searches.

I ve started to complain to this new Consumer Protection Agency that my tax dollars are paying for. We'll see if it helps. Who knows, maybe they'll put them out of business and put all these low life scumbags that work there out of work.

This guy called and wanted me to wait while he gave the his call to someone elso. Asked what is this about and he stated he could't give out that info. So I hung up.

Claims I signed up for support group. Then asked for date of birth and address confirmation. I told them that I do not give that info on the phone. I asked for their company name and they said they could not give that info out. Seems to be phishing scam. Called number back and got not in service message.

NCO Financial is a pirate collection agency.  They do not care what time it is or if you are on a "no call" list.  They will call and call and never stop.  My suggestion to you is either change your phone number or save the number in your phone books under "do not answer".  And just ignore it.  They have been calling my phone for a lady who has not had my number for 4 years.  I have told them, written letters, and even got my lawyer involved for harrassment.....still getting phone calls.  So bottom line:  IGNORE THEM.  Sorry I couldnt give ya'll better information.

I don't answer numbers i don't know, so i didn't. I did notice that this number called two days in a row at within a minute of each other on those days. looked it up and it said a collection agency. I dont owe on anything so i am gonna say scammers

Ok so this dude calls me on my cell from (845) 770 0071 and tells me that he is trying to collect a debt, I told him to bug off and to never call again (I don't live in the US) and he says "have a good day."

A few minutes later I got another call from (516) 222 7100, this time I didn't answer.  No message.  Both area codes are from NY state.

A few hours later I get a text message from a number with the area code 917, also in NY saying "congratulations your number has been listed as a winner for the Wal-mart, etc, etc...."

So these 'companies' harass you using different numbers and on top of that they sell your number to phone spammers!

OK, THEY'RE CALLING AGAIN! THIS CREEP JUST DOESN'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! I ANSWERED IT THAT TIME, AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME! I'M REPORTING THEM AGAIN, AND SAID SO IN A TEXT!

I keep getting this call on my cell phone. I don't answer calls that I don't recognize, since my phone is pre-paid. I texted them and asked who they were. They sent a message back saying "Error Invalid number. Please re-send using a valid 10-digit mobile number or valid short code." I then texted back to the number at the bottom of the message (#1121611611), "You called me. I don't answer calls I don't recognize." They called me back, and I tried calling that number with my house phone. No answer. They called my cell back. I sent another text: "Either tell me who you are or stop calling my phone! I don't answer calls when I don't recognize the number, and I am on the do not call list." They didn't text back, but called my cell AGAIN! I called the number again and let it ring 21 times, and then it went to a fast "Beep, beep, beep" busy signal. I looked up the number on Anywho.com, but all it said was it was in Garden City, NY "and 2 other locations".
