They are called arkteleservices and they are hawking magizine subscription using auto-dialing machines.

same crap every day. Answer in a different language each time they call.

got a call from 516-561-9797. nothing said. i hung up. no one is on the other end? it did say ark teleservice.

Caller ID showed ARK TELESERVICE - they just hung up when I answered

Just received a call from this number and I said "Hello" rather than saying the company name.  The person didn't hang-up; they wanted to update my subscription to Packaging Digest Magazine.  So this number must be a clearing house for magazine subscriptions.  Good luck trying to get them to stop as they call me once a month even after I have asked, on several occasion, for them to stop calling.

I've recieved a half a dozen or so calls from this number.  When I answer, there is no one on the other end.

This number calls multiple times per day and there is never anyone on the other side.  I believe that this requires law enforcement involvement given the comments above.

this number calls about 15 times a day and it is always a hang up. I called *69 and got the number below. I tried calling to get them to stop but the phone just rang and rang.

Yes, I've gotten calls today and yesterday too from this same number.  It's become so routine now that I recognize these 'marketing bots' when they hang up when answered. These are 'dial bots'  They call to see if anyone answers a line, then it gets marked in a database for later follow-up by a live human to hawk subscriptions and conferences. Saves telemarketers lots of time making cold calls. I can't tell you how annoying these calls are for me here at work. Not that I don't mind subscriptions to journals ..just not every one on the planet!

Caller asked for a company officer by name. When he was not available, she wanted an assistant or an office manager. I sent her to voice mail and she did not leave a message.

They call my boss' at least 3-4 times a day. I have told them to stop calling and that he is not interested in renewing the subscription. I tried calling the number back, but it rings, then disconnects. SOOOOOO annoying!!!!!

Keeps calling, never leaves a message.

same experience, got this call every day and it's really annoying.

I had the same experience as Phil above. Caller ID showed "Sonassau, NY  516-561-9797".

When I answered this call it hang up.  20 minutes later, it does it again.  I called back the 516-561-9797 number, my call is picked up, then immediately hangup.  Not sure what is going on.

When I answered a call from this number on my office phone, I just got a hang up.  I understand we have been getting a lot of phishing calls lately.  Not sure if this is related, just FYI.

I recieved a call. asked for unknown person. I am on verizon. wonder if they are selling your numbers.
