I got a call from them on my home phone. They said nothing & hung up. I called the number back & was given the option to delete our # & go on their "Do not call" list. I did that.

Yes, "hi" then hang up.  Extremely creepy.  Is there anywhere to complain to?

they call and just hang up/or you can hear them say well bye bye--annoying creepy

Called my work phone. Male voice said, "Hi" and nothing more held the phone to see if anything else would be said for about 7 seconds, then the call disengaged.  I really wish something would be done about these BOGUS, ANNOYING, TIME CONSUMING, SOLICITATION AND NON-SENSE CALLS, I get them on my cell, my home and office it is utterly ridiculous. It makes you not want to answer your phone at all!!  I AM SICK OF IT, IT IS AN INTRUSION OF MY TIME!!

Just received the same thing on my cell phone- a male that said hi and nothing else.

I'm glad I found this web site. Same thing just happened to me before. Very strange. I did a reverse phone lookup and said phone was registered in Wisconsin.

I made a mistake, this call came from Michigan, not Wisconsin.

I called the number back and it walked me through being removed from their list.

Male voice said "hi." Pause. Click.

Called this morning. Same crap. Call, "HI!" and nothing. Hung up after approximately fifteen seconds. Interrupted No Country For Old Men, the bastards.

Called me just now. Male voice said "hi", and nothing else. I'm all "hello?? hello? who is this??", paranoid. I did *69 and it came out 517-931-2516. I guess it's the same as all of you. I won't worry now.

I don't use an answering machine on the land line house phone, and they let the phone ring probably 10 times (a lot).  I intentionally missed the call since the caller ID only said "Caller" and it was an out of area 'area code'.

They immediately called back for a second time and let it ring 2 or 3 times before hanging up.

I put serious thought into answering the phone the second time with a bad choice of words...

These kinds of calls are practically an every day event.  And when I do answer, there's usually nothing / no response on the other end.

Judging by the fact that often times when I view this site with various numbers I get calls from, I'd have to say there's obvious Caller ID and maybe even phone number masking of some kind going on.

It's the same crap day after day with a different phone number.

This number called my work number.  The person only said "Hi" and did nto say anything afterwards at all.  It felt very creepy and what a waste of time.

same thing - male voice says "hi".  called my direct line at my office.  My office has internet phones and I feel this is an attempt by a hacker.  2nd call in same day from a different number.  recd call earlier today from 713-507-9986 (another previously reported caller) the first caller left v/m that I was being charged $3.60.

Wasn't home when call came in. Nevertheless, I don't answer any calls unless I know who it is or there is the name of a business on my caller ID that accompanies the number. If I miss something important, it is sad. I make sure that my family and my creditors have my cellphone number in case they can't reach me at home.

I get calls from this # too, and I think everyone who leaves answers here should say what state their from to see where all the calls are going  to. It could be someone using a masked number and if enough calls are going to one location it could be narrowed down a bit. If the calls are mostly being made to one state then the person could possibly be from that state only using a masked number. I'm just sick of the calls and thinking a little detective work might get us closer to who this is.??? I'm tired of these calls and I just don't answer anymore when I see 517-931-2516 on the caller ID.

The exact same thing happened to me this morning. I got a call at 9:24 (might be significant), answered "hello?!" -- I didn't recognize the number, and had the preconcieved idea it was a telemarketer. It was a male voice, and all he said was "Hi." After about 5 seconds of me waiting for him to say more, he didn't, so I hung up.... It was a little strange.

I called the number back and got an automated option to remove my phone number from their list.  Hope it works - hate these callers!!!!

Samething happen to me. Male caller called my cell phone I said hello then he said hello and after about 5 seconds hung up. It pissed me off!!

Called Cell phone and person on the other end just says "Hi" and then nothing.  I called the number back and the message said "If you received a call from one of our service agents and want your number removed press 1" so I did and followed the prompts to remove my number.  I do this everytime and still get calls from this number. I didn't start getting these calls until I started the new car purchase process. One of the dealerships sold my information.

this number text msg. me....again...tried to get my number removed but was unable to......have now blocked all text msg. How can we get rid of these unwanted calls /text msg.?

Debt redution/credit card consolidation. Don't have any credit cards. Called to have my number removed. I'm now keeping a daily list of the 800-numbers who call. I plan on making a believer out of them.

Called my CELL PHONE about a health insurance plan.  It was a recording with an IVR to press 1 if I wanted more info.
