What a bunch of HOOEY!!!!! This is one of the NYS switchboard exchange numbers! It's not part of some conspiracy theory.
State Worker 2013-08-23 18:07:55 Unknown
This number is a New York State swichboard exchange number. No one will be coming to arrest you! I get calls from this number weekly--it's an agency worker calling our outside line from his state work desk, checking on the status of his incarcerated son's transfer to another prison!

This is an harassment telephone number generated by cell telephone software attached usually to Verizon equipment furnished by the United States Government intended to be used for fraud and abuse activities. Instead it is being used to harass and if responded to will enable GPS tracking of a cell phone.. My advice if received, is to update your cell is Verizon by dialing *228 selection 2. Any call received from this number should be referred to the FCC. If it is received multiple times than it may also be considered electronic tampering and each call subject to Article 156 of the NY Penal Law, which is an E Felony. So if it is repetitive just make out a police complaint to the Internet Crimes Bureau of the NYS Police, One point to know is that all cell phone traffic must include not only the numerical telephone number which is visible with Caller ID but also the electronic serial number that is recorded by the receiving telephone but invisible to Caller ID. and the user, but not invisible to the FCC and NY State Police.

Just adding to the mix. I got called from this number this morning and didn't answer. The voicemail was an automated message from the Medical Reserve Corp, which I joined a few days ago. Unfortunately, you can't use the voicemail to confirm receipt, so now I have to wait for them to call back.

The # is from the state offices. It is an extension but is an out going line only. Could be from any office in the state!

Generic outgoing # for NYS. Received call in regards to job interview/investigation.

Ditto the origional post. It is a "generic trunk number that shows up for calls from some New York State government offices". This is the number that comes up when vavious NY State offices and people within these offices making outgoing calls. It could be the AG office, MRC or who ever.

This is the automated number for the Medical Reserve Corps in NY. The system calls any number on file for a MRC member to conduct tests, drills and emergency notifications.

Well, my bf received a call from this number a few days ago, about an email he sent for a complaint against his ex going through my medical records and pulling my cellphone number, so he wrote dept of health an email, and some lady called from this 518-427-5019 number to verify our info over the phone.

Received a call from this number in regards to a complaint filed via email.
Appears that NY DEC is not willing to respond via email or documents activities.

Got this call today, 9/11, requesting medical volunteers in a county in NY. I assume it may be connected to the recent flooding. It is most likely an independent non-profit that may serve government agencies that need volunteers in certain areas. Did not reply.

I was concerned about this--I missed a call at 11:10 at night. Then my husband reminded me that I volunteered for a government organization that calls to see if I can answer in an emergency. So it is the government agency explanation.

My Fiance Works for the State in Albany. When he calls from work, this is one of the phone numbers it comes up as. It is just the exchange that calls from his building (and some other state buildings) get routed through.

I received a call from this number on both my home phone and then on my cell but didn't answer it. Called and there is just ringing. I work for the state and when a call from the state comes in it shows as a 455 number. Very few people have both my two phone numbers

I know one woman from Albany who works for child protection. we used ot be friends but not anymore. I was wondering if that could not be her. she used to answer the BCW hotline. she probably still does. I wonder if it is from that office.

(518) 427-5019 is the out going broadcasted phone number for several New York offices located in the downtown Albany area and at the Empire State Plaza. I just got a call from it. Some woman trying to rent an apartment from me for her boy friend. Happy to know my tax dollars are hard at work.
Smedley 2011-06-06 20:50:55 Unknown
Um, no. I work in a state building (not for the AG, or nearby) and called my cell (elsewhere) from my work phone today, and it showed up as 518 427 5019. Even though that's not the number used to call my work phone. So, whoever else posted here that it shows up as a number from various state offices seems to be correct. Don't worry, its unlikely there's a warrant involved...
Chris 2011-06-06 20:50:55 Unknown
Number is from NYS attorney generals office, the investigative divison. Chances are if you are called by this number there is a warrant for your arrest.
