The alleged officer that called my employee was named Officer Charles Smith. Whom also had a asian accent. They continued to call her at work and when she got on the phone they didn't know what to say. This needs to be stopped. The number they called from was 281-402-0226

I too have received a number of calls from all different names, always with a thick Indian Accent...this one was John Brown (with a very thick Indian accent...really?).....gave me a number to call him back, because I had already spoken with at least 5 other different men from different agencies with different phone numbers.....this one was 512-646-0068 X 5001......he represented himself as part of the National Bureau of Investigations.....I told him there is no such agency, stop calling my phone and take my number off of your lists! He had just started to tell me about charges that were being brought against me.....I didn't even listen to him...

About a month ago he called my elderly mother and got her all worried and upset! These people need to be stopped!!

The same guy called my husband tonight from 512-646-0068. He has my husband's ss# and wanted his banking info to "complete his investigation". Wonder how he got his ss#? It sounded funny so we looked it up and found this site. Who do you report this to?

Yes I am receiving these same phone calls at my job and on work phone.  I am going to let these people have it as well.  He told me the same thing that US Cash advance was suing.  These people need to seriously be investigated. And for him to have the last four of my social is very scary.

I rec'd a phone call yesterday from these people claiming to be from the Bureau of Federal Investigation stating my pay day loan was delinquent from Cash America. They said that if i didn't send them $350.00 by today's date (12-15)that the company was going to be pressing charges. I sent the money. They advised me i was going to be receiving a email notice at the end of the day by way of a recpt of payment. I spoke with an Officer Frank Harris and a Chief Officer Cooper. Well i didn't get my recpt of payment and when i called back they said that Off. Frank Harris had to leave because of a family emergency.  I then came on this website and saw that many people had been defrauded and i called the company back and told them that if they were not legit i would be calling the FBI and Attorney General and contacting the Albany Police Department. Then on 12-16 i called all three and was advised to contact Western Union to stop payment. I wasn't able to stop payment but because i contacted them so quickly they were able to contact the company CAFEFONE and get my money back. So i hope that helps anyone that has been defrauded. I also contacted the Attny General's Office and the FBI and made a compliant. So i want to thank everyone on this web site for helping me to get my money back!!!!

I had a guy named Kevin Brown that called me. He said he was from the National Bureau of Crime Investigations. He said he had a warrant out for my arrest for an unpaid bill. The problem is; he scared me so bad that I gave hom the information he wanted. When my husband came home, I told him about it and we called the sherriff department. They said they had nothing on me and that it sounded like a scam. these people do not speak English and will not leave me alone. When my husband talked to them. they hung up on him.

also got several calls wednesday 9/07 and a few weeks ago. Definitely sounded suspicious and keep calling every hour, etc. I picked up the phone on Thursday 9/08 and they asked what my intentions were on a debt but when I asked him what I should do to resolve this, the person said that was up to me! Threatened to have me arrested if this was not resolved, though!

I keep gettin calls from 5104734970 and 2827262524 from someone name Offcier John Taylor some indian guy can't speak english at all saying he know where I work and my social security number he has issue an warrant out for my arrest. I just want them to stop calling my number I anit worry about me I just dont want my information get out in the wrong hands and they have enough information.

I keep getting calls from numbers 5104734970 and 2827262524 from some Indian Man saying he knows where I work call out the name of my job and social security number then said i used these people as reference on a bill they where issuing a warrant out in my name I need to call them back as soon as possible or I will be in big trouble. I received a phone call last night. The caller ID showed "0000."  I knew I shouldn't have answered it, but I did.   The guy had a very thick accent and he proceeded to tell me that he was calling about a warrant and wanted to know how I wished to proceed.  I asked him what the warrant was for and he put someone else on the phone.  This other person, same heavy accent, told me that he was calling about a warrant issued by Cash Advance America and that the amount owed was $488.00.   He wanted to know how I wanted to handle the situation.  I told him I wasn't going to handle any situation, I didn't owe any money to Cash Advance America. I asked him what company he represented and he told me the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation. I asked him for a phone number to get more information and the number he gave me was 510-473-4958.  Of course, when I called the number, I just got a recording that said the number could not be completed as dialed. I don't know if they charged my phone or not.  IThen, I received another call, this time the number showed up as 510-473-4935. It was the same person, only this time he wanted to verify my address. He proceeded to read off an address where I lived about 3 years ago. I told him yeah, it's the right address.  I knew these people were running a scam, but I had to be sure.  Be careful with these people and don't give them any information.

I got a call from these people at "The National Bureau for Criminal Identification", which I already know is a scam. They first told me that I was in some sort of legal trouble, but couldn't answer any questions I had regarding it. He then somehow got my boyfriend's cell phone number and called him as well. It later progressed to this idiot telling me that there is a bench warrant out for my arrest and that Jake, my boyfriend" is also mentioned on it. When I tried to get more answers out of him, he asked me if I was a N***er. I was speechless. I then asked him why that would matter and he told me and I quote "Because all n***ers should be killed". The only thing that  scares me about this whole situation is that they have my full social security number, home address, home phone number, cell phone number, email address bank account number, routing number, the address where I work, telephone number for where I work and my boyfriend's phone number. And I forgot to mention that I have a friend that is an FBI agent and another that works for the Federal Trace Commission - both agencies are aware of this particular scam.  Again, please do not verifiy or give any add'l info. about yourself to these clowns.

IT IS A SCAM - as if it isn't obvious.  Don't give these fools any info. about yourself.  Officer Ronnie Cooper, Jr., Officer Ronnie Cooper, Sr., and Officer Carlos White - all three which don't speak a lick of English, can f-off!  My story is the same exact story as everyone elses with the same exact threats.  My advice is either hang up immediately or if you are looking to be entertained, give them lots of push back and listen to them grow angrier.  It's actually very entertaining.

Received a message saying a warrant has been issued for my arrest against my name and social security number.

I have contacted my local Police and my local FBI office. The FBI says they can't do anything because they are spoofing their numbers and changing them all the time and most the time they are calling from a country where they just don't have much pull. She says the only thing to do is to change your phone numbers if you can, change email addresses, block the numbers with your phone provider, and put a freeze on your social security with the 3 credit bureaus. I wish there was more that could be done to stop these idiots. I have 1 more call to make to the Attorney General, but I don't have high hopes of making any progress. Atleast I tried! Maybe if everyone else makes a stink about it to. Things will get done. Sign this petition please. I recieve up to 4 calls a day on my office number and multiple calls on my cell number from this company with various telephone numbers on their end.
Very thick indian accent claiming they are from National Bureau of Criminal identification and that they have a warrant for me and need me to call them before they issue it.  They want SS# and bank info to clear the debt owed but won't provide info regarding the debt.
Never will listen to 1 word that is said to them. They talk over you while you are speaking. If you hang up they continue to call back numerous times asking why you hung up.
I told them I spoke to the Attorney generals office and was not to speak to them on the phone but they don't care. I asked for written communication and they claim they have sent it but I have NEVER received anything.  This has been going on with them for about 6 months and is very stressful especially since they continue to call my office.

Got another call today...they changed numbers. Can't wait to call them back and rip them a new one!! The number they called from this time is 818-851-7960 he says his name is David Cooper. Mmm yea right buddy!

Used a different number but same scenario as others describe, tried to verify SS#, Driver's License number, and even home address. New number they are using is #850-778-1013. Indian accent not very forth coming with any questions as to the purpose of the company. Challenged me to look it up on Google and this was at the top of list and looked more crediable then the story getting on line.

I am so glad I am not alone. They initially called me at work. I was kind of scared at first, because while she sounded middle Eastern, he sounded American...but the more I told him to send proof, the more his accent came back. Mine is David Land! The number he leaves is only 9 digits that I can tell. He threatened to send cops to my work. I told him fine, send proof with them. I then received 2 more calls at home with messages left on my machine and they called me back at work yesterday. I told him that I could not receive personal calls. He asked to speak to the manager, which I am. I told him I was and to not call me. He then asked to speak to HR Dept.

This guy is a piece of work. Of course, he hasn't used the English accent since. He is full blown, can't understand a word, middle Eastern. Can't block their number because it comes in as Unknown.

I received the exact same call yesterday and today and my sister called them back and so did my attorney. They got scared when my attorney called! I'm reporting them to my attorney general and any other avenue I can find. I'm on a mission to stop them. They had my full as #, bank information, etc.

I received a call from a (510) 473-4958 (Officer Paul Green).  Same very hard to understand Indian accent.  He would not provide me any information of who they are and what they wanted.  This is very upsetting.  I believe they got my information from a website that I went to to inquire about a loan.  I know now to never do business over the internet even when the website shows secure!

I received two phone calls today, one threatening me with legal action if I didn't call them back.  The phone # is 513-473-4958.  This guy called himself Officer Alex ____, I couldn't understand what he said his surname was.  

Pfuzzy is my sister, and as she said, she received a phone call from these people as well.  

I called my local Police Department, but unfortunately the officer couldn't help me with that.  He told me that if they call repeatedly to call them back, but in the meantime to just ignore  the calls, which I will do, and I will keep the messages on my answering machine as well.  

I also reported it to the FTC since this is a phone scam.

My sister and I just got calls from these people, also.  They told me that she had used my AMEX card as a personal ID, and they told her she was in trouble for using my card as an ID.  Neither of us called back.  I called AMEX, and they told me my account had no "odd" activity.  She reported the incident to her local police; I filed a report on-line with the FBI.  

Obviously a phishing attempt.

I have also been contacted I know at least 4 or 5 times this week by Officer Paul Green....can you believe that?...this guy has such a thick accent, I can barely understand what he is saying. These people are so stupid, you would think that they could think up a better name than that. This guy has stated in each of his messages, which you can tell he is reading a prepared script. He states that I need me or my attorney to call him or I will be in great trouble. Each time I get a "UNKNOWN" number on my phone, I can just about bet it is going to be a message from him. He then tells me to return his call to this # 510-473-4958. I have contacted my Attorney Generals' office and told them about the harassing calls. They have informed me to just ignore the calls. They told me the one thing to do is NOT return the calls, thats what these people want you to do, they want to feed you all this crap of how you owe  them money, and to get you so upset that you agree to pay them the money. Something has to be done about this....Im sick of the calls!!

This so called man from the national bureau of criminal investigation has been harrassing me for the past three weeks. He calls my job and my phone constantly. He claims that he needs my social security number. In the past five minutes, he has called four times. This is a continuous thing and now he is calling me private. He changes numbers and changes his name but its his accent that does not change. Today the number he called he called from was 916-395-0000.

I just received an email from the local division of the FBI and they confirmed for me that this is a scam.  They said if you receive a call from these people to contact the Federal Trade Commission and report them.

I have been receiving calls from these people for over a year now, they even called my old employer today threatening them if they didnt give them my cell phone number, however they have already been calling my number.  I am so sick of this and would like to know how they got my information to begin with, sounds like maybe if you have ever used a cash advance place that could be the trigger but I have never used one, so stunned by how they get your numbers.  The person calling me had such a thick accent that I couldnt even catch his name.  They just called as I was typing this message and I told him DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN.  He laughed at me as if I was kidding.  I litterally screamed in to the phone so if he calls again I will scream again, and maybe going deaf in his ear will teach this little slimy theif a lesson.  These freaking foreigners need to realize we Americans are not DUMB!  The number who called me was 510-473-4958
