Phone rang once and I picked up.  No one there and the line went dead.

Caller ID says New York. Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. No message was left. Tired of this crap!

I googled this crazy's manifesto and downloaded it and soon after I get a call from +1(518)885-9403 maybe this is some goverment agency??

I did not answer as I know no-one in NY( and espesially not at 0200 am your local time)  :-)

I also received a call from 5188859403 at 10:52 am today. I've had calls from this number before but I never answer it because it says "payphone" which is confusing. They NEVER leave a message and every time I call back, it says "the number you have dialed is not in service". What the hell is this and how did they even get my number?! so annoying!

Same s*** today 9/13/13.  Said I dont recognize the number and I'm Hanging up.  Wish I had the air horn or whistle! Great idea!!

So we've been getting multiple calls this week that fit some of the patterns identified here (automated female voice saying "goodbye"). Caller ID usually shows our number, so it sounds like its being spoofed. The other day we got a call that showed up as this payphone number, and a man with a foreign accent (Indian? Carribean?) asking for my wife by name. When I asked "who's calling" he said "no one" and hung up. Definitely sounds fishy / scammy, but I don't quite know what the scam is.

I got the same thing..only caller ID said it was from a payphone.  Dang people >:(

Just called my landline, was silent (i thought it was a tele marketer) and then heard a female automated voice saying "Goodbye"

Got a call on my phone at 12 noon from 5188859403. No message left on the answer phone.

Just got a call from this number 518-885-9403 saying that she works for windows and that my computer has virus. When i asked her name she said it was Maria and i also asked from where she was calling. She gave me this number... 1-204-800-2612...i mean come on, if u wanna prepare a scam, do it better then that people.....

I answered the phone and they were speaking Korean or some Asian language and then in English they said they were calling about my computer, was I having any problems with my computer? I asked them to never call me again. Here's the kicker, this is the second time they have called in a couple of months and both times our computer had gone down. WT heck is going on?

Some Indian guy just called me he was from Tge technical department at Windows. I said no you're not and he said yes I am. I said you're a f****ng scammer you piece of s*** don't call me again. This guy had my name when he called.

This morning, "Shaneequa" called from this number with an important message. I asked her to hold for just a minute......

I keep a small boat horn that uses a can of compressed air next to my desk.  She NEVER called back.  You can buy these horns at any marine or sporting goods store.  Other option is a cheap referee's whistle.

Rang twice then disconnected.  Heaven forbid we fund the government agencies that would track these axxholes down - according to some, that would be implementing "job killing regulations."  I call it protecting citizens and consumers.

Get nuisance calls from this number and I want it stopped.thank you for your help

I just got a call from this same number 518-885-9403....same thick Indian accent, gave his name as Kevin....claimed I have a computer virus as well, I questioned him on it and he hung up......jerk.....needs a smack in the head!! I'm so sick of these garbage calls. It bothers me to think that some people will be taken by these losers.

My brother had a virus and I deleted it with Microsoft Security Essential and this guy with an accent called and asked to talk with my brother, he even knew his name. We live in Quebec, Canada so we speak french and I am the only one who's able to speak english so I answered to him. He told me he was from Microsoft and that my brother's computer was sending viruses.

I told him that I was able to see his number and that I would report him to police and said to him to not call back again. I suggest people to do the same !!

THIS IS A SPAM , AND FRAUD.

REPORT IT TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND FBI OFFICE

Got a legit call from this number from a guy named Amandeepdeep Singh, he called from his cellphone before, he claims to be from exportersindia.com. I'm halfway on the other isde of the world!

just got a call and they said that they knew we had a virus and they wanted to help us fix it.

told them not to call us again.

Got a call Feb 25 2012 and asking to speak with the "main computer user". Told them no and they hung up. Called back and message says the number is disconnected. This is part of a recent fraud I read about in the paper.

When I answer I tell them to f*** off... in a loud angry tone!

I received a call from this number stating that I had been approved for a loan. She then told me I had to send $179 western union, & I would receive $1679. I have never applied for a on line loan. They call everyday! If anyone knows the name of this company, or its affiliates please post! I would like to report these a***oles to the better business bureau!

Mine was a call from a lady Indian accent. Was a "slow computer" scam. *ucking *ssholes.

I received a call from this number just 5 minutes ago.  When I called back I received a recording which indicated the number is not in service.  I know it is a New York State Area Code; these morons have nothing better to do than attempt phone scams.  Good thing all incoming calls to my number are being monitored.

Got a call this morning at 6am. Guy with thick Indian accent. Said his name was Robert. He said "I'm calling about your computer"... At this point I screamed at him for calling me at 6 am on a Saturday. Told him don't ever call here again. Same number just called again (1:40pm). I said hello automated voice said "goodbye". Grrrrr......these a$&holes make me furious!!!  Try getting a job that doesn't require you to annoy the crap out of people on a minute by minute basis!!

Also received a call from 518-885-9403 at 6.07 am and when i called back got an auto message saying the number wasn't in service. SCAM alert

the caller id said payphone and they asked to speak with our IT manager. they said they would call back when i told them no one was available.  also had a thick accent.
