Got a text saying "If you have a damaged windshield, Freeman Auto Glass will PAY YOU $50 (on the spot) to get it serviced! Please call 609-8497 and we'll come to you! Thank you.

I have received marketing from this shady group, and I really don't like them. Here is the information I gathered:

Please help me counter this obnoxious marketing.

Received text message from Freeman Auto Glass saying: Get a $50 VISA card, on-the-spot, if you repair/replace your auto glass! Freeman Auto Glass will come to you, so please call 888-851-2131.
THIS IS INTERRUPTION MARKETING at its worst. I never elected to receive this ad, which means that they marketed and advertised to me without my permission. Because it was so awkwardly invasive, like a text message, not only will I never contract with Freeman Auto Glass, I will let others know about this poor marketing incident as well.
To state on this website that this is the way marketing will be done as a justification for your bad advertising is not a way to appease unhappy patrons or curry favor for future business.

Ridiculous-I received the same message via text on my phone. They will never get my business-very poor marketing on their end...it's only EXTREMELY annoying and frustrating to the "potential" customer.

I am on the DNC registry and I have received two messages from 520-549-8759. Most recent was today "Get $50 VISA card on the spot if you repair/replace your auto glass! Freeman Auto Glass will come to you, so please call 979-3403. Reply stop to end."
Hey, I replied stop back in September and you still sent me another message in October and you want my business? I pay per text message - not a fan of text messaging, and they continued. Just think how they would treat you if you had a real problem with the work they performed on your windshield. Go figure.

To Nick and Chris:
Please email me (removal@fagaz.com) your phone numbers and I will make sure your numbers are deleted from our system. Also, I could consult the DNC list and tell you whether or not you truly are on the list. We are registered with the DNC and are aware of penalties (though the m-Spam act has yet to pass) that may apply. We do not text message numbers registered to the DNC list.

Same text, definitely not happy about it. Like Nick, I'm on the do-not-call list.
| Nick 2011-06-06 20:51:09 Unknown |
Freeman Auto Glass:
Actually, the number you spammed me at has been on the do-not-call registry for well over a year.
But the do-not-call list is only useful if marketers consult it, which you clearly do not.
You'll never get my business.

To those of you that are unhappy with our marketing campaign: Please email removal@fagaz.com. If you were charged for the text message and would like to be reimbursed, also include your address and the cost to be reimbursed.
Also, if you do not appreciate this type of communication, I would suggest that you add your cell phone number to the Do-Not-Call registry. All industry insiders foresee that this type of marketing will only increase in the years to come.
I would also like to report that a far greater number of those contacted are either impartial or happy with how we are advertising. We wouldn't continue if that weren't the case. I apologize to any of you who feel inconvenienced and urge you to follow the aforementioned instructions for phone number removal (and applicable reimbursement). Thank you.
