Yes, this happened to me too, and luckily my Aunt was sitting next to me who overheard my conversation and told me to hang up because it is a scam and her friend had the same thing happened to her.  Rest assured that you are not "being prosecuted for criminal charges".  They use that to scare you, as they did me.  Don't forget to call your Federal Trade Commission office and report it, as well as experian to report your information being compromised.  Experian will report to all three credit bureaus that your social sec number has been discovered and they will put an alert on your credit in case anyone tries to open up credit in your name.  These people need to go to jail!  They are scum!

The number these scammers use are MagicJack accounts (100% confirmed). Magic Jack should be doing something to address this! 253-236-6033 is also them, as well as many other numbers I am sure. I believe they have the calls routhed to them in India or some other foreign country, but that is just my suspicion. FYI you can *67 prank call them all day for kicks if you are bored... I got them to shut down one of their phone lines (253) 236-6030 after setting up an autodialer to call it constantly.

For "Call Type" on this website, there is no option for "Fraud" or "Scam," so I put this as a "prank call." These guys are not debt collectors... they are dirty smelly East Indian thieves.

Its a scam...had the phone call yesterday

Do not give them any info. They are fraud and a scam they want to get your info and money. They already have your social, name, and date of birth. Contact the police and get a report. Maybe if enough of us do it they will catch them and put a stop to it. They started calling my work and harassing me.

they called multiple times today. i answered it twice. the first one was from a max henderson from harrison law firm & the second was from david brown from the same law firm. these people are idiots.

they called me saying i owed 300 dollars for a loan which i never recieved a loan
he told m he was calling from a law firm

These people keep calling me from this number saying my wife and I recieved an internet loan and they are gonna take us to court. I have bank statments printed out from the bank that refute their claim.

This tell you they are not from the same law firm, if there numbers are all over the place. Also the following names used, which I believe the majority of them are the same man:

it's a scam..they are a collection agency trying to get money illegaly..they claim they are from a Harrison Law firm and that their are "serious allegations"  and state, bank fraud and check fraud.  then they tell me i had a payday loan from a company i never heard of and gave me an email that never was mine.  They did have the correct social and name though..and they called my work number.  I told him that they were collecting illegaly and i would sue them, that i could hear people talking in the back ground and that he was not who he claimed he was.   he just hung up with out saying anything further.  don't give them any info..it's not fraud to get a payday loan and not pay it even if it's true that you did that..it's a civil matter and all the loan company can do is sue you.  These guys are idiots..just ignore them and don't let the "law firm" scare you.

I've been getting calls from a guy claiming to Officer Adam of the Sacramento Police Department (not sure if first or last name), demanding that I call Joshua Phillips at 800-213-7067 by today or he's coming to arrest me tomorrow.

These are criminals.  Nothing they tell you is real.  There is no Harrison Law Firm...at least not at this magicjack phone number.  Do not give them any information.  The best thing you can do is simply  hang up and report these criminals to the police.

It appears to me that this scam is connected to instant loan.  Payday loans, Tax refund loans, etc.  This is how they got your information.  If you have recently obtained a loan of this type, report the lender to the police.  The lender has sold your personal information to the criminals using this magicjack phone number to operate a scam.
