this is a land line located in chico, ca - butte county

No one on line when I answered, left phone off hook two minutes.

I received a call asking for Mrs. Haynes, I told them they had the wrong number.  Then he asked if I was the woman of the house I told him yes and he hung up.

I have started receiving calls from this #.  I've been letting the answering machine get it and they just hang up.  I am also currently getting similar calls from the phone # 310-429-5382.  Both occur several times during the day and evening, both just hang up.  Perhaps they are related? Think it is time to change my phone #.

I just picked up from this #. They have called every night the past 5 nights. He asked for me by my last name I said no not here can I take a message and he said it was Paul D's. Then hung up. What the heck????

This person calls 1-2 times per wk.  We never answer & they never leave a msg, REALLY ANNOYING!

I keep getting a call from this number.  THey keep asking for David.  I reply no DAvid lives here, they ask for my address!  I refused to give it to him.  My husband is a Fed Agent, This is a scam!!!  Becareful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  PLease do not give your information!  CAll your phone company and have them block this number!

They call at all ours of the day, and wont stop

Just got a call from this number stating he wanted to provide me a "comparison quote" When I started to tell him that I was not interested, he hung up.
The only thing he got from me was my current insurance company.

Just got a call from this person. He wanted to provide me with a 'comparison quote' for 'Farmer's insurance'. What he really wanted was personal information. I've reported the caller to the "National Do Not Call" Registry.

I tried calling back the number and it says 'you're call cannot be completed as dialed.  Please check the number and dial again'.  I've got this call like 4 times now

I also have been getting calls from this number and when we answer, they hang up.  They call sometimes 3 to 5 times a day in the early evening.  We no longer answer the phone and when the answering machine kicks in, they hang up.

I am fed up with this number calling me.  No one is there when I answer and when I call back it says "all circuits are busy".  This is getting to be too much. Any ideas on how to stop this???

ALSO THE SERVICES PROVIDER IS PACIFIC BELL NOW AT&T WHO IM CALLING TO REPORT THIS NUMBER TO THEM TO TRACE AND SEE WHAT THEIR CUSTOMER HAS BEEN DOING TO US

Call came in at 4:40pm. Didn't answer as didn't recognize number. No message left.

Got  a call from this number a woman identifying herself as from Allstate Insurance and requesting information so she could give me an insurance quote.

When I answered no one was there.

keep getting calls (6 so far as I've been keeping track).
I don't answer - I just let it go to message.  Caller is leaving NO message.

When I look up this number says it is being called from "BUTTE" (No state though -- there are lots of towns called Butte)
The carrier listed for this number is: "PACIFIC BELL - CA"

Getting really tired of this number, we use our phone for medical purposes and do not need some "goof-ball" calling

Received many calls from 530 767 1234- When the answering machine picks up, they hang up. When I answer, they hang up. Try to call it back and states "Not in Service"

I get a call every night from them, sometimes I answer an there is no one there and other times I don't answer at all WTF

530-767-1234 is most likely a masked number.  It works kind of like IP address translation where a range of telephone numbers are routed through the same telephone switch which puts a generic number on the out going call.

Not sure what kind of service this is but it is probably logging all sucessful calls, meaning that everytime they get an answer from you they validate that the number as belonging to a potential scam victim.  They in turn probably sell their list of validated numbers to telemarketers.

I've received probably 15 calls of this nature, no one speaks on the other end until eventually they hang up.

Once you answer it is already too late because they have caller ID as well.

We have been receiving calls weekly from this number.  Since we do not recognize it and it does not give a name, we do not answer.  It rings three or four times and then they hang up. It is very, very annoying.

I just got called to asking if my parents are home! by the way im 25! then they asked for Joel and hung up. I hope they dont keep calling me.
