I have received 30 calls from this company.  I called back and placed on my do not call list.  They keep calling.  Any help on this matter will be appreciated.

My name is Cheryl Banks and IT IS NOT ME THAT IS BLITZING EVERYONE WITH THE CALLS!!!  I am every bit as much a victim as you are, and more so because I have been mistakenly identified by some website I've never heard of as the owner of this stupid number, which I most certainly am not!  I share the same area code and that's as far as it goes.  DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU CALL ME!  I did research by plugging the number into a Google search and quickly discovered the scope of this scam/harrassing phonecaller/telemarketer.  Seems to be linked to a smokeless cigarette marketer, perhaps out of VA but some people describe a foreign voice if they have talked to anyone, so who knows nowdays.  It could be coming from anywhere in the world.  JUST NOT MY HOUSE!  Please all of you who have put my personal information on your postings for all to see, kindly remove it ASAP (NHW specifically).  I understand your frustration and the fact that you thought you had "caught" the culprit.  You didn't.  You caught another victim.  What you should do is what I have done.  I contacted my phone company, my police department (and please stop reporting me to your police departments for crying out loud!), the FCC, and my VA Attorney General's office.  Complain loud and long to the offices that can actually hopefully do something.  My phone company is giving me a new and unlisted number; perhaps that's what you need. This issue seems to have begun on Nov. 30 or thereabouts and seems to only be in the East/NE of US (I think).  Hopefully if enough of us report this, whoever owns this phone number will lose it and some kind of charges levied against them!

THE PROBLEM IS BIGGER THAN YOU EVEN THINK!  Some of you, or perhaps all of you, who are being scam/called by this number may have at one time been on some site about Smart Smokers.  If so, your information has been ripped off.  If you have been unfortunate enough to have actually purchased something from this illicit company, you have bigger problems.  Read this complaint board and contact your Attorney General.

The calls started today on my cell phone. Four times already. Have been on Nat. Do Not Call List for a few years. I did begin to put my info into the smokeless cigg. online offer, at least a month or two ago, and I remember thinking at the time that the web site's behavior seemed suspect and decided to "back page" out, deleting the info I had already entered, never selecting to "submit". Hold on my phone is ringing.....yup it's good old 540-572-4104 again. I checked it through a free reverse lookup, resulting in  Type: Cell Phone, Location: Buena Vista, VA. I'm glad I came across this page and will try reporting.

This number has been calling me non-stop for the past 2 days.  I pressed number 2 to put me on their "DO NOT CALL" list yet I continue to get the calls.  When I call the number back it is really hard to understand the person talking.  I am really irritated!!

I have never been a smoker nor have I ever heard of this company before.

No Messages just keep calling I have to put my phone on slience missing my personal calls I want it to stop its been going on for weeks.  I am on the usless do not call list and hope in time they or you will soon be of some use before I give up my phone strange this never happen when I had a pager.

Calls began at 8 a.m. four days ago and have continued at least hourly for four days (ending at about 8 p.m. daily).  No answer.

I am getting calls as well. They don't anwer, and the recording is a negro man. I hope he is not a convict. This must be some fly by night ramshackle dealio, and I complained to aol.

that stuff above is bologna. I get a black person as well, and it is from the cig people. They are prolly the people in virginia.

this number calls me about 9 times a day literally. its very annoying. at one piont it would have a automAted service but then it jus becomes silent. now when it calls, right when i pick up it hangs up and then ill try and call back and it hangs up again. then it will leave a 3 second silent message.

Smart Smoker is in the UK, their "customer service" number is to a call center in VA.  I was also ripped off by these unscrupulous dirtbags & have since received a refund (credit to my account) of $74.99 of the $109.99 they debited.  They are refusing to refund the original $9.95 for the "trial offer" and charged me a $25.00 "restocking fee" although THEIR company claimed a computer glitch delayed my shipment for 30 days!
I have submitted an email to the company & also called the OR State Dept of Justice (Attorney General) & they also contacted the company.  There IS recourse but because they're in the UK it may have to be addressed there.  I googled UK trade dept & several links came up.
I gave Smart Smoker 10 business days to refund the $34.95 or I will be pursuing resolution at many different levels, including within the UK & the USA.  We need to get the word out people, these scammers need to be stopped.

This number is calling me 20 to thirty times a day starting at 8:00 am in the morning and going until 9:30 at night. There is never anyone there and i have hit option two numerous times to have them remove my number and they still call.

The caller did not leave a message.

Calls my house 3 times a day every day when you pick it up no one is there. If you phone them back it's an automated message asking if you want to speak to a CSR or be put on their do not call list.  Did that, guess we'll see what happens.

People have been harrassed, myself included.  Don't call back, they won't listen to any do not call list.  Someone sold a list to someone else.  This is nuts!

I've received 24 calls from this number in the past 30 hours. I never tried calling back, but I just Googled and stumbled across these forums instead.

I successfully got a hold of a representative once, and I denied that I was available at my phone number. I was then asked if I was a smoker, and I responded 'no.' This helped delay the next call by about four hours.

I recall clicking through an ad for an electronic cigarette product on the New York Times website a few weeks back, and looking at the sample, but the funny thing is, I didn't like the terms and conditions, so I never hit 'submit.' I'm trying to remember if I ever plugged in my contact information - which would be really messed up, if they logged my data before I even hit the 'submit' button.

I ALSO CLICKED ON AN ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE PRODUCT AND HAVE BEEN RECEIVING AT LEAST 4 CALLS DAILY UP TILL 9:30 AT NITE.
NEXT CALL I WILL BLOCK THEM AS THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE AND IF I DO NOT KNOW THE # I DON'T ANSWER.
I HAVE BEEN ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST SINCE IT'S INTERIM.

I've been getting calls from this number..540-572-4104. About 20 or more a day all hours day and night..when i pick up the phone. there's no one there..they never leave a message but they fill up my caller ID. Every time i try to call it back i get this:

Press 1 for customer service
Press 2 to add your number to the Do Not Call list
Press 3 to hang up


Ive tried over and over again.. When i press 1 it always says please hold...then it says "Due to a high volume of calls our customer service line is busy, please choose another option. I've pressed 2 about ten times now and it still calls me back about every half hour in the daytime..and every three hours all night..

Any ideas what i should do? HELP!!!
