Unfortunately, it's not "foreign chicks." You're right that Matt does not exist, but the company that is behind the message is from Roanoke, VA. It is a company called Adventis, Inc. that is a front for the scam called "Auto Marketing Systems." PLEASE, if you weren't convinced already, DO NOT give these people your money!!!

Got a voice message from this number about car sales.  However with a different name and company from what is described below.  He was offering $200 to sell my vehicle. The guy sounded like a real sleaze bag.
For my own privacy I am not sharing the name and company he used.  I have no idea if this is legit, however if you take the bate I hope it works out.

Keep getting calls from this number at various times of the day. I have never contacted them about needing their help. I am also on the national do not call list. Just talked to Cameron and she said they got it off a sales list where I posted my car for sale. She said they would take me off their call list.

I put an add on Craigslist to sell my truck and have received numerous scam offers but I must say this was the most convincing one. The prerecorded phone call is from a guy saying his name is Matt with AMS Vehicle Sales. I did call it back and spoke to a woman (not foreign as someone on here posted) who said her name was Jamie. She said there were 4 buyers in my area looking for a vehicle like mine. She explained there is a $249.00 fee which had a 90 day refund if my vehicle didn't sell for my exact asking price. The website she gave me is www.amsvehiclesales.com and said her call back number is 888-550-2703 then hit number 3 and ext 127.

This AS***** MATT CARTER calls everyday and finally left a message on the fifth day saying they have a high demand for my vehicle and it will cost me about $200 to sell it what a load of BS. for that kind of money I could goto the auction or a dealer. Even if this creep wasn't a scammer... This guy should be executed. I'm in Mississauga On.

Matt called me three times about a car that was listed on Craigslist.  Says he sees it's still listed for sale, but the first time he called, the car was already sold and post deleted.  I finally got tired of these calls and called them back.  Spoke to a very uncoroporative lady, who hung up on me.  Called back, got the same same lady.  She said they won't call again, but there was no manager there that I could talk to.  They make it out to be a call center, put you in a que, etc, but I bet if you call ten times you will get the same lady.

Matt Parker, Barker and other last names same person ! SCAM I hate this . I told I was going to speak with my husband and Debbie from IMS now keep calling to my cellphone leaving me messages that they garantee to sell my car for 249$ (refundable3 month ) or 149$ no refundable. Shame people like this exist!!!!!

I'm trying to sell my car and put it in Craiglist and after that is the second time people( if you can call them people) try to fool me ,first time a Dave Morgan that says he wants to buy  car and ask me to make a payment with western union of 500$ and then Matt carter from IMS and Debbie who works for him . People like this should die from something painfull for being trying to fool good people in need.

Well we have a camper posted on craigs list and keep getting calls about it from 540-822-0685 but the name i recieved was Matt Barker through AMS,i finally called it back today to see what it was because he left messages kept saying vehicle so i returned the call and the lady Crystal Smith said if i paid a$149.00 she could almost garantee she could sell it in 1 week.I then said i have to talk it over with my wife and i would get back to her.SHAME ON YOU TWO IF YOU ARE READING THIS.

I just got a call from this dude, Matt from "EMS" 540-822-0685 the number appears as "Unknown" in my cel, I didn't answer but he left me a vm and his contact number, don't answer your phone when  "Unknown" appears in caller ID be careful!

Received two calls from Matt who said he saw my add and had customers that wanted my vehicle. He was willing to guarantee my price for a small fee. The calls came from two different phone numbers. The second was 888-550-2703.

keeps calling. Never asked him to. Says he can help sell the van.

Yeah, this guy Matt called me up a couple times about helping me to sell my vehicle that I posted on Craiglist with a fee. He didn't display his phone # so I didn't answer his calls. He left messages on my voice mail instead. If he is legitimate why would he blocked his phone # when he called me? And helping a person to sell a vehicle with a fee from a remote city sounds like a scam and smells like a scam.

Matt from AMS called and left me a voicemail message reference a craigslist ad i had up. He stating that he worked for AMS and had some questions for me. The number displayed was 888-888-8888, but he requested that I call him at 540-822-0685.

Received two messages from Matt leaving his name, company name of AMS and this phone number. Said he was interested in my car that I have for sale.

Thanks guys. I sold my car a week ago on Cars.com and deleted the ad. Just started getting these calls yesterday. Are they sharing info?

I listed my car on CL for a day and sold it and this stupid Matt guy won't stop calling me, so I decided to call it and try to get him to stop calling me. I just lied and said I sold it so he would stop. I am really glad I googled the # first, good lookin out guys!!

Got a call from Mat at AMF, questions about my ad, call came up unavailable on my cell, but he left the 540 number.  I didnt call back, if he is a car salesman like previous posts, I have not had an ad up for over 3 weeks...

Just called and left a message that Matt saw my ad and to call him back at work. Thankd for the heads up, thought it might be a scam since the 540 area code is as far across the country as you can get from me!

i had put my ad on kijiji just a week before Matt Carter called me luckily i didnt have $149 dollars or else i was going go for the deal it sounded so convincing thanks for telling me this is a scam i would have never looked up the 540 number and i usually follow up on things like this  I read all the bad things this guy is doing to people well he needs prayers God Bless you all
