I pressed 1 and spoke to a rep named Anthony. I asked him to please stop calling because we are on DNC list. He said list does not apply because it is a promotion and not sales. I laughed and tried to ask how much the monthly monitoring fee is, but he interrupted me and raised his voice, "didn't you hear the message, we're giving you a free $2,000 home security system". Finally I raised my voice and said "IS THE MONTHLY MONITORING FREE OR NOT??" He yelled, "Go f*** yourself, buddy. That's free. You f****ng a***ole. Have a nice day". Then he hung up.

24 hours later they called back, and pressing 1 got me right back to Anthony. Unbelievable.

phone message is do not hang up.  When tried to call back operator stated this number is out of service

This number called at 3:55pm Monday and left no message, I'm on the Do Not Call list but I guess it doesn't stop these callers. These prank/scam/unwanted solicitor calls are really annoying and interrupt my peace and quiet enjoyment.  This business model of disturbing others with phone calls and not respecting the customs and laws of the telecommunication's networks has to stop, it is uncivilized and unacceptable in a modern society.

I have an internet phone with TELEBLEND (www.teleblend.com).

It is easy once these numbers are identified is to block the number -

Number blocking should be available for every phone service - so they call once - i block them, and I never hear from them again.

Possible that other services, like VONAGE may have something similar?

I received a scam phone call from 541-257-1166 about a free G.E. home security system.  I was able to find that the number comes back to the Corvallis, OR area.  A search of that area for G.E. security reps comes back to only one company:  US ALARMS.

Get this scammers off the face of the earth.

I have been getting these calls.  Always a different number.  5412571166.  SCAM.

security system dealer. go ahead and keep them on the line or let them schedule the rep to come to you house. you have to prove to fcc that who the company is before fcc can fine them. plus you'll be wasting their time for calling you and you can tell them so in person that you only let them come to your home to waste their time in exchange.

I picked it up and a man's voice said, "Don't hang up! Your home has been selected to receive a wireless home alarm system...." And then I hung up.

I'm on the Do Not Call list and have made multiple complaints to the FCC about these annoying calls, but it does no good...

This is a scammer. Also, be aware of calls coming from Las Vegas. When you answer, when you sound like a person who is younger (18-57) they hang up. They are looking for elderly ladies who have a recognizable "older lady" or "older elderly man" voice.   Then they will try to scam on say, "you won publishers clearing house"

They got my mom before my sis and I intervened. She put money on card, money gone. Beware

Call from Corvallis, OR.  "Who Can It Be Now"?  Just another scammer placing a fake phone number and city as an ID.  Wonder what they are up too, don't you?

In the middle of the afternoon i received this call.  Left no message on snswering machine.
We are listed on the donotcall.

Another unknown call. Annoying like all the others.

In Kentucky, they're calling here too but not leaving a message.
