Same BS. Tried to call them twice to show  my wife the types of scams out there and got yelled at and threatened enforcement will be out in 45 min to arrest me for 6 months and my ex-wife. Years 2006 and 2007. We were not even married at that time. Divorced in 2005. I told them to come because I needed a break from life for 6 months and let someone else take care of me. I would welcome that, I think. Anyways, Love to all.

Claims to be a U.S Treasury agent.

A man named Chris keeps calling me telling me he is with the IRS and demanding that I call 559-328-2396.  It is reaching harshment level at this point.  I have called the local sheriff and I have filed a complaint with the IRS.  don't know how to get them to stop.  I took the phone of the answering machine and I just let it ring.  Hope no one I need to speak to calls.

Daniel Reeds, 559-328-2396, Called and wanted $9000 dollars for unpaid tax from 2006-2007 and I assumed it was a scam right away because he had an Indian accent and he called during a holiday.  He threatened to dispatch police but they never came and he continued to nag for my current address witch I won't provide.  THIS IS A SCAM.

I too just got the same phone call stating the same thing.  I panicked, and call my tax accountant, he said that was b.s. the man had a thick accident.  I listen for a minute, and hung up the phone.  how dare people call us with b.s. scare tatics.  This post was great.

We also received a call from this woman named Caroline Miller with heavy indian accent.  She said she was the department of legal affairs.  She said I would have a "big legal mess" on the first voicemail message she left on our line if we didn't call her back.  We called the number back two days after she left the voicemail message, it immediately disconnected.  She then called four days later three times in one morning.  We picked up on third time, she woke us out of a dead sleep.  We asked her to identify herself - Caroline Miller from the Department of legal Affairs & that enforcement actions were started on our name.  We asked what we needed to do... she said call back the number she was calling from & speak with the Legal Officer.  We said "why do we have to call back the number you are calling from?  this is a phishing scam, we don't believe you" to which she replied "it could be anything, just take this number and call back".  We said "stop calling us freak" & hung up.  Obviously, anything legal is handled by mail & we pay our debts.  We called the police & they sent an officer out this morning to take the information.  The officer said this happens all the time & not to be concerned about it.  He said just write down the number of times she calls & keep it on hand for further information.  She just now called us back again two minutes ago & we told her the police have been notified (which the police officer told us this is definitely a phishing scam & not call the number back & to give the woman the police department's phone number the next time she calls & they would deal with this phisher).  Just now we offered the police department's number & told her that her phone number was logged.  We started to give her the number & she yelled "shut up, stop threatening me!" & hung up.  Don't give this number any information.  It is a phishing scam.  This number is 559-328-2396 & caller ID reads Avenal, CA.  Does she really think Americans are stupid enough to not realize Caroline Millers don't have heavy indian accents & call from phony numbers?  Idiot.  Get more creative next time.

I received a call stating they were with the Dept. of Legal Affairs and I need to call 559-328-2396 and ask for Daniel Rich that this is a government agency working for the us treasury dept.  I asked if this was some kind of joke and they said no this is real and you need to call right away.  This is a scam.

Some guy called my cell ph# numerous times stating that he was calling from The Dept. of Legal Affairs regarding my 2007, & 2008 Fed Income Taxes....Stated that if hang up he would be sending a officier to my place of employment or home within the next ten to fifteen minutes...He stated that he needed my attorney's ph#..I hung up, & he got pissed started yelling like he had lost his mind....

She called me also, saying she was Carolina Mellow with  Dept of Legal Affairs office. I tried calling back. A man answered. I asked for Carolina, and he asked me my name. I would not give it, and he blocked me from further calls. Suspicious as heck.

Adam Jones 559-328-2396 12:40pm on 1-8-14 just called and left a message. Adam Jones voice is a very heavy Asian accent! Wants me to have my attorney call him back!!! Huh!!! He needs to get another job!

The above post  is a transcribed phone message I received. The woman on the phone had a very thick Indian accent.
