Texted me with happy birthday from aunt caryn and uncle mark....I deleted it. Someone trying to get into phone

She left a message on my voice mail at church asking about youth programs.  The call was at 1:04 am, so I thought that a little strange.  She wanted me to call her back and leave my cell phone number on her answering machine.  I think not!

well crud. i just heard her message and called her back. she left it for me while i was on vacation and the message was a week old, so i felt bad about taking so long. i made the mistake of giving her my cell number, since i figured she was a parent looking for a way to plug their kid in to our church (we're in camarillo ca). she said her name was Anne Fayer and that she didn't have a computer (seemed odd) so it was pointless to leave my email address. currently looking at ways to block her from my cell phone

Received message from "Ann Sayer" she cute off her message after she says "And my question is..."

Just received a message from "Ann Sayer" from this number and on a hunch looked it up because her message was odd, asking me to return her call.  Her message cut off right before she told me why she was calling.  I work at a church so it appears they are targeting churches or other non profit organizations.

I also got a call from this number at my church office phone calling herself "Ann" at 2:00am marked urgent. She left the phone number and asked for a call back but the message cut off at "I'm calling because..."

I received a call from this number as "Anne". She has done it twice now. I believe the other name was Nancy.  Same voice, little girl like. And she says "I'm calling because..." then hangs up.  We are not a church or non-profit organization.

Got the same phone call from ANNE askign for a "detailed message" and my cell phone number because she can't answer the phone until after 6pm.

She wanted children's ministry information.

someone named Ann left "an urgent message" instructing me to call this number.  I did call, heard a strange recording, and decided to sniff around.  thanks to all who have alerted me to an unhealthy situation.

I just noticed my second call, this one from Nancy. The first was from Linda. Both at midnight-ish.
I called back the first time. I'm glad I checked it out online before calling back again.

The message machine is pretty entertaining though.

Yep, just got a message from "Nancy" at this same number. She sounded 9 or 10 years old directed it to the "Youth Pastor Only" which I thought was odd so I Googled the number and sure enough, nothing is as it seems...

Also received a call from a girl named Nancy MaCartney she left it as an urgent message for me to call her back. When I called I got a voice mail saying it was the MaCartney residence and I that they couldn't call back during regualr business hours but to leave my cell phone number and they would get back to me. Yeah right! If you can't call during regualr business hours then you don't need to talk to me all the urgently now do ya.

She has also called our church in WA state several times. I didn't realize it was the same person till she ("Sarah") left a message this past Sunday afternoon asking about whether or not we had a food assistance program. I recognized the voice as the same little girl voice that calls and reads from books, so I googled it and found this site. How very odd.

We are a church in WA and get calls from this woman several times each year.  The latest was at 6:30 A.M. and she called herself Brenda.  She usually leaves a lengthy message on our voice mail.  The latest was asking about our free food give away, which we don't have.  One time, she was actually on the line when I answered and was very put out that our pastor wasn't immediately available.  When pastor called back, the party said they never heard of this person

Hey www & TK  We are also a church in WA. She called us at 10:44 last night.

We have been getting calls from this person for about 2 years. ALWAYS in the middle of the night, and  she RARELY uses the same name twice. Usually she calls and leaves the name of a famous person, or a character in a TV program. The 2 names that come to mind are "Katy Perry" ( I am sure she is way to busy to make crank calls) and Rachael Zukerman ( a 90210 character).

She called saying her name was "Nicole" asking about our food assistance program. I did call her back to let her know we don't have one but would gladly direct her to a food bank. Just call back during regular business hours so I can better assist her. I KNOW that's not going to happen! She's probably sleeping, exhausted from making so many calls....

As I said before, she has been calling here for about 2 years. She usually just reads a page from a book, or a long recipe. I told an someone about this and they called her number and did the same thing to her! Let me tell you, she didn't like that one single bit! She called back telling us that she didn't appreciate it one bit, had turned us in to the police! I'm still waiting to get arrested! Maybe she has multiple personalities and they keep her up all night making crank calls!  

She did call once on a Saturday when an employee happened to be here and answered. "Nicole, Katy, Rachael" was NOT happy that someone answered and insisted to be put into voicemail. She was told to call back and the phone wouldn't be answered. Guess what?? She read a page from a book and left it on our voicemail. Another poster is right. This woman needs prayer! And some therapy.

We are also a church in WA state and received the same call on our answering machine this morning from someone named "Rachel" asking for a food giveaway program.  This caller has left messages over the past few years mostly on our pastor's extension reading rambling paragraphs ranging from the bible to sex education, using many different names.  Always the same voice.

Just to weigh in on this caller and number: We received a message on our church answering machine from "Kelsey" at 12:41 PM at our church in WA state, requesting information about our "food giveaway program" that we do not have. Over the years we have received at least 6 or more calls that sounded like the same woman. In the previous calls she would identify herself as someone else and would either ask for information about our preschool or would seem to be reading from a book about issues related to children and parenting. I may have tried calling back the first time she called but got no response, and haven't returned her calls since.

Ditto.

I pray for this young lady that the power of the gospel would lead her out of such idleness towards kingdom productivity.

I think she sould hear Paul's admonition in 2 Thessolonians 3:11-12, "For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies.  Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living."

We received a message from Rachel at this number asking about the free food program at our church. We are in Eagle River AK.

We recieved a call form "Aaron" at this number asking us about our free food program at our church. This call is from Fresno and we are in Anchorage, AK. This has all the markings of a scam.

I received a voicemail on my company phone from a "Linda." The message was very broken and cut out as she was saying "I'm calling because.." When I called back, there was a lengthy voicemail description about it being the "McCarthy" residence. She sounded a little strange.

Received a voice message at 12:53 am, June 25 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Like the other callers, it was a young woman/girl's voice, asking me to return the call, which I did not. The truly funny part is, the message was left for me by name, and until this call, we didn't even realize I had voice mail. Now I know:)

Our church received a call from this number as well.  Our pastor has been receiving messages from this person about once a quarter.  The person sounds like a little girl and leaves long rambling messages as though she were reading from a book.  The latest message was about sex education.  The message I received was her name, number and then the message cut off.  This person has to go through a voice mail system and dial extensions to actually reach our individual phones.

We are a church in Vancouver, WA and I received a voice mail from Beth at this number at 10:45pm.  It was tagged "urgent."  I also tried returning the call which simply had a voice mail identifying it as the McCartney residence.  I hung up.

We are a church in Redwood City, California and received a call from this number stating her name as Linda McCartney (hmmm, perhaps married to the Beatle?).  She and her family were interested in worship services but there is only a recording when we call her back.  And she doesn't respond.

I work as a Youth Pastor in the Portland Metro Area and I received a voicemail from a "Nancy" at 3 AM  in the morning late last nigh. This happens once every six months. 559 Area code is from the Fresno, CA region. Don't call her back.

Got a call from a "Nancy"... 15 second message without any description as to the nature of the call.  Seemed suspicious so I thought I'd check it here.  Looks like its just as I thought.
