Call twice today.  Obviously fake spoofed number.  Guy with Asian accent said he was from Microsoft help desk.  A virus has been detected on my computer.  Please log on and he will tell me how to fix it.  I ask him how come Microsoft know I have a virus.  He say, Windows tells them.  I ask him how Microsoft know my phone number.  He says you give it when you register Windows.  I said no, that's wrong.  Microsoft does not ask for phone number and in any case I have a Mac.  Calls me swear word and hangs up.  Big scammer but many foolish will fall for this I think.

The same thing happened to me just now.  Guy with foreign accent calls from 561-246-6015 and says he is with Microsoft and that they are recieving messages from my computer indicating problems.  My wife recieved the same call a few weeks ago so I let him go on a bit just to see what phishing technique they would use to try and get my personal information.  Bummer is... they knew my last name.  I called him a crook and told him I had alerted the police after their prevous call and that the police were monitoring the line.  He just laughed.  I could hear others talking in the background.  I asked him what country he was calling from and he said Indonesia but that was probably not true.  He sounded shady from the beginning.

This number called earlier today, Tuesday 4/22/14. Caller ID showed only "561-246-6015" The guy calling had an Asian accent and said that  a virus was detected on my computer and was ready to help me fix it. He said I needed be be in front of it and follow his instructions. I told him I'm a retired IT guy and asked if people actually fall for this and allow him to remote access their computers, like I figure he wants to do. He hung up. I did reverse lookup of the number and it shows is a phone number for thru Verizon Wireless' Cellco Partners in West Palm Beach, FL. I assume this is a personal cellphone since he told me he was with someone other than Cellco. If you see this number pop up, pick up and immediately hang up or block the number if you can.

They called and said my computer was sending out a help message and they needed me to log on to it now.  I asked some questions he got snotty.  He said just log on and I will fix it.  I told him no f*****g way and hung up on him.  Please people don't just do what someone asks of you ask questions.

Caller from this number claims to be from "Cyber Security", telling me he has seen a lot of fraudulent activity coming from my Windows computer....  Caller ID says "West Palm Beach FL"

Received the same message,listemed to he bull_ _ _t and hung up

Got two calls from them saying that Windows on my computer was sending them a message and it is infected.  They want to log into my computer.  I told him he was full of s***.  He called back and started in again and I said I don't believe him and he called me a moth******er.  Real class

They called me several times today, and nobody responded when I answered and said hello. On the last call, Murphy responded.. same garbage, my computer is infected.. we need you to log on your computer (which I already was). He couldn't answer any of my questions, just needed me to log on... bunch of garbage - hung up on the guy.

Caller ID said Help Line. Did not leave a message. Just another JUNK call.

Caller ID showed "West Palm Be FL" The guy calling had a foreign accent and said that  a virus was detected on my computer and was ready to help me fix it. I asked which computer he was referring tp and he said it was the one I was now using. He said I needed be be in front of it and follow his instructions. I didn't have time to play along and told him to, "Go to He**".

This number called while I was out and my phone recorded the info.  It said  HELPLINE.  it was 4-10 and 12:21 PM.  Have no idea who it was or what they wanted.  They have not called back.  Hope they do not.

So this number called and didn't leave a message.  Out of curiosity, I blocked my number and called it back.  A recorded message with a British accent came on saying something about the "world's best maker of widgets".  Caller ID said "West Palm Beach FL".  I have NO idea what this was or about.
