The initial call was from 888-559-2126 x275, a guy named Mark.  After many questions to verify my acct numbers and expirations dates, which I didn't have, he said that I would receive a call within the next half hour to lower my cc rates.   The jerk who called back from 561-287-4305 said that he had already charged my Target card $1200 in order to save me $6000 in interest.  I demanded that he back it off and that I had not authorized it.  He kept saying that it was already done, so my husband took the phone and threatened him if he didn't back off said item.

This call initially was from another number: 406-623-3001.. from a so called credit card mgmt company that works with big banks to reduce interest rate on cards to 6.9%. It sounded somewhat legit and I went along with it. The operator said that I was to get a call back from her supervisor to confirm that I wanted my rates lowered. He called back from the cell number above and explained that I would need to send this company $1350 to get the rates lowered...I told this guy that this was a scam and he questioned my intel, basically saying that I was stupid for not taking advantage. He ranted and raved and continued to belittle me to no end. I questioned his professionalism and said that he would make me eat my words. A real, nasty man...I immediatetely called the FTC and gave them both phone numbers that appeared on my caller id. It really ruined my day.

The number 561 number is out of Boca Raton, but first the call is from India.

Very rude, did not give company name and did NOT say they were going to charge $970 until the end of the call and then mumbled it....I said NO, and they argued and argued, finally I cursed at them and hung up.  The so called supervisor, Justin Davis, called back 4 times.  I called them and they said they had canceled everything.  I canceled all my cards immediately!

Called wanting to lower my interest rate currently charged on my card, After I hung up I called and had my card cancelled and a new card issued. They had information about my card - exp date and knew my balance owed as well as the last 4 digits of my social security card. This was alarming that they knew and had access to this information!

Natalie Prodro with Indian accent called promising I could get a 6.99% interest rate on my credit cards.  She knew all of my account information including outstanding balances and credit limits.  Said she could lower my rates.  She even had information on my husbands credit card.  Told her that this sounded like a fraud call to me..... she just skirted my inquiries.  She said a credit adviser would call me within the half hour. Before I could look them up info on the web the credit guy called.  He was pretty pushy... said he would have to charge a Chase VISA card to lower rate on a B of A card because B of A would not allow them to charge.... I told him no thanks would have to crunch some numbers.  Called B of A to just have my rate lowered.  They knew nothing and were rude.  I then called Chase and they issued me a new card.  The representative at Chase said that they were definitely scamming people and I should contact the credit reporting agencies because they had way too much information about my accounts and that they probably had a copy of my credit report.  I then put a fraud alert on my credit account.... what a waste of a beautiful afternoon.  On the bright side, reviewed my credit report and nothing alarming was present.   What a SCAM.... if they call from India... HANG UP!

Just got the call today....because of my great credit history I qualify for 6.9% interest rate for my credit card.  I felt it was shady right away and hung up.  They called me back a little while later and I actually fell for it the second time! When I received the call from 5612874305 the man told me I qualified and all he needed was my permission to charge $750.00 to my credit card. When I laughed and said no thanks he became so unbelievably rude. He told me to get my head out of the clouds and get a clue when someone is trying to help you....also that I'm a loser for having credit card debt and that he had the authority"since I backed out of this offer" to contact collections and report my account as past due and unpaid if it's not paid off in 2 months!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! After asking for a supervisor he hung up on me.  My caller id gave me the number I mentioned above and they told me they are from Financial Consulting Services, Intl. in Orlando Fl.  Their phone number is traced to XO Florida, Inc. in Boca Raton...I'm very confused what this is all about. Do they actually lower your interest rate if you pay them or is it a complete scam?

I've filed a report with my states attorney general and canceled my credit card immediately!

I received a call from "Cris" purporting to be from Visa/Mastercard and wanted to lower my interest rate on several cards.  They had my acct numbers and the open amounts.  During the conversation he said that I would be saving over $3,000 on interest and it woul only cost $1,100.00.  On hearing this I immediately advised the call was cancelled--he hung up.  I called to cancel the affected acct. numbers and get new cards.  These people have gall!
