8:40 PM and a hang up

Received calls from 561-296-1959, 561-296-1943, 561-296-1941, and 561-296-1947.  All are claiming to represent the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association (http://pbcpba.org/).  Even though I've explained several times that I do not donate money over the phone to anyone and have asked to be removed from their list, they continue to call.

PBA calling for money. This is the fourth time I've told them to take me off their list.

When this number comes up and I answer the phone they hang up. I'm sure it's a telemarketer trying to get their quata of calls in . even though we are on the no call list. The real  police/sheriff's dept. does not call to ask for money.

This person calls and leaves message, saying he will call back.
I want this to discontinue.

I received a call fro 561-296-1947 at 11:28AM on 10/25/11.  I could not get to the phone before the recorder answered.  The caller did not leave a message.  They have called before but this is the first time I have reported it

More info...When I redialed the number came up busy.  I believe it's an organization that says they are collection on behalf of the police/sheriff's dept.  A second number came up 561-296-0460, when I called them and asked them "to take me off the call list," they hung up on me.

When I answered they hung up.

I got a call from this 561-296-1947 and another appeared on the caller ID 561-296-0570 I  I dial (*60) and block their number. Every day I get calls from different number and I started to pickup and they   hang up on me. My phone is tied up to my fax machine and therefore cannot leave messages.

I guess a fraudulent-caller is checking the listed numbers with our address to do something else that can be compromising our number or our residence location, even our computers because we are inquiring for their numbers in the internet....or Who knows what?

I just found out how to block all unwanted calls if you have Bell South as your carrier......After you receive the unwanted call, hang up and dial (  * 60  ) that's, (star 60) and that will block that particular number....

"Police" asking for donations...I called the Sheriffs Dept and this is not a sanctioned organization

Glad I found this website. Same number(s)...didn't answer since I did not recognize the numbers.

Unfortunately, charities are exempt from both the state and federal DNC registries.  Still annoyng.  I got interupted at work by an cell phone beep telling me that someone had left a message on my home phone, and when I called in the "voice mail" was a few seconds of static followed by a beep.  When I got home and checked caller ID it showed 5612960460 as the ID and 561-296-1946 as the actual number that called, as in the other reports.

Further information on 561-296-0460 is a yard waste removal company in West Palm Beach, FL, known as Jet Waste or Jet Hauling, Inc., USA.  561-296-1947 appears to be a number that is unlisted and a number affiliated with a call center that calls for different organizations looking for money donations.

I too received a call from this number which also lists 296-0460.  No message was left on voicemail.

I live in Boca and got a call from this number. When I answered it they hung up. The caller ID had this number and 561 296-0460. It was strange to have two numbers show up on caller ID. I called both numbers back and they rang busy.

My Mother in Boca Raton Florida is receiving calls from this person/service who won't identify themselves.  I don't live, nor have I ever lived in over 20 years with her, I want these calls to stop immediately!!

4/1/09, 1:25 p.m. I received a call from this number.  It had 2 numbers on my caller ID, this one and 561-296-0460.  When I answered, they hung
up, I didn't bother calling them.  In Google, 561-296-0460 comes up as
American Glove Corp.

This number calls repeatedly and hangs up when I answer. Is there a way to block this number?

I received a call from this number. I live in a gated community in West Boynton. The person said he was from the Police Benevolent Organization and would I contribute to their fund. He called me by name. I said no.

Received call from this number.  Did not answer.  Called back but no one answers.  This is annoying and will be reported to the FCC.

I am about 5 blocks from City Place, just south of Palm Beach Atlantic University. I got this call today @ 2:22pm. Because it was not a number I recognized, I did not answer it and they did not leave a message. After googling it and finding you folks, I'm glad I didn't bother to answer it.

Not Boynton, but Wellington.  I got wise, answered this call like this:

Good afternoon, thank you for calling. To insure proper handling and quality assurance, this call is recorded. May I continue?

Very surprised , a quick yes and he quickly hung up. LOL

My call came in at 2:35PM --  hung up as well.  I was surprised to find this site as I "googled" the number.  I have a feeling I know who is making the calls.  Do any of you live in a gated community in West Boynton?
