I got a call from 561-296-1965 on June 12, 2014 at 10:45 am. Although I was home I did not answer and the caller did not leave a message. My caller ID said, "5612960460" while it gave the caller's number as 561-296-1965. It was unusual that the caller appeared to be calling from my area code, but this may be another trick to make you think it is a local call and get you to answer the phone. It is very rare that I get a telemarketing call from the 561 area code.

Received a call from 561-296-1965. Caller id said 'West Palm Be FL'. I've received the same calls from 561-296-1944, 561-296-1966, 561-296-1951, 561-296-1945, 561-296-1958, 561-296-1956, and 561-296-1961.
As reported by others, they are collecting for the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association, which is nothing other than an association/union for law enforcement personnel.

Got a call from 561 296 1965, the caller asked for my room mate. I told him he was not home, could I take a message, "CLICK"! How RUDE, if you don't want to leave a message, just say you'll call back later, because next time you call, I am going to answer then hang straight up on you. Why the police want to be associated with this service in any way defies belief.

After a few tries to call back 561-296-1965 because they had hung up on me. a service answered. they said they call on behalf of the police benevolent association.(for donations) I asked to be taken off their call list & gave them my phone # & first name. (They have it any way) The person on the other end was pleasent. I hope the calls now stop.

Have no idea who they are. I am never around the phone when they call.
