Just received a text from "Alex" with the phone number 706-977-2563 that said "I'm greatly interested in your vehicle on cars. Pls contact me on aj79311@gmail.com if you still have it and the amount."

I got the same thing from this guy for my car on cars.com.  I gave him my paypal account name (not password of course) and said he would send buyer agent to pick up.  What he is bored or something?  What a moron.

I too got a scam message from "Alex" using address threehillzz@gmail.com  on 24 May 2013.   The same person was also using e-mail aj79311@gmail.com.   Just replying so that the scammer at least has to get a new e-mail address.

I just got this text in regards to a vehicle I am selling on ebay. This guy must be really stupid!

He says: Thanks for the info. I'm very much interested and I want you to know that you don't have to surf around looking for buyers because you've just found one. This is a gift for my Dad in Idaho, I hope you understand my eagerness to complete this transaction a.s.a.p...?

Once I make the paypal payment and is transferred into your account, the agent will contact you in-order to handle the pickup from your location and he will also be of assistance concerning the change of ownership by presenting all the information's/documents needed to complete the change of ownership.

This transaction is based on HUGE amount of trust and I expect to see this from your end as it is on mine.

Got this message from Alexander at threehillzz@gmail.com....and the other day from David McDonald at icemondo2@yahoo.com.  I HATE scams, grrrr!  I took my car off cars.com since thats where the junk scam is coming from.

I can only make the payment via paypal because it's very safe and secure for both of us. In case you don't have a paypal account I'll advice you to register for one at paypal.com. I have a private pick-up agent that will contact you in-order to handle the pick-up at any location of your choice once the payment is completed.

Question: I'll like you to tell me more about the present mechanical condition, how often do you service it, mechanical history, have you ever experience any mechanical problem with it before and why are you selling it?

I got the EXACTLY the same tex message, but from 6788206572... Unfortunate before checking here. Don't trust and run fast if you get it too!!.

Just received a scam text message from 561-303-2044 in reply to my ad on Cars.com.  Message reads:  "I'm interested in ur vehicle on cars.com.  I'll like u 2 pls confirm the price/availability to my mail: (threehillzz@gmail.com).  This message sent was sent by Alex"

I'm so sick and tired of these F@#$% scammers.  How is anyone supposed to sell a vehicle online anymore?  Is there any secure method to sell a vehicle online?
