This company is changed their name and number now but same old tactics. I think their scams are too well-known in US and now he is targeting Canadians. I live in Toronto, Canada.

Received a call from Charles Moore @ 561-503-4637. He offered ad space on his first issue of "Good Life Publishing". He stressed that you will get lots of business referring from this offer. He goes on and explain that their magazine is tailored to high net worth individuals who are members of country clubs. He offered a "discount" of $600 (original $800) for having your ad in her magazine. Please do not fall into this trap!!

"Grace" obviously works there, and is extremely immature and has no business savvy.  Telling a disgruntled client to "quit crying like a baby" reflects poorly on your scam operation er.. company.  I found out this company is a scam, if you recieve a phone call from this # HANG UP, then CALL THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL. FILE A COMPLAINT.  It's simple.

Some of them are scams but some of them are not.... They Create an ad send extra copies out and do the best they can to get people business ..... I do believe that the companies reach a point where they can produce more substance and value but people do get business from them .... especially when extra copies are mailed out to doctors offices salons spas and a lot of courses do place them out there. Just because you didnt get business from your ad doesn't mean it doesn't work..... don't do it again if it didn't work for you.  Not only that but they produce what they can for the money you pay silly.  So judgmental.

Just received a call from "John Ingrahm" (spelling ?) saying he was doing some work at the Saucon Valley Country Club.  Left a phone number of 561-450-7673 ext 206.  I could hear a bunch of other people talking in the back round.  I got caught in one of these scams before, I think the name Platinum Publishing sounds familiar.  They want to sell ads in so called books at golf courses that every member supposedly gets each time they play a round.  They sent me the artwork and the whole nine yards, even sent me a book.  Never got a one phone call from any body who got one of the so called books they say they sent out.  No one from the club has ever heard of this guy.  At least not in accounts payable, and if he is doing work for them, then they should be the dept. that knows.  Not going to fall for this again.  My advice is to just hang up on them, or don't bother calling them back.

I got a voice mail from a man claiming to be "Kevin Graham", calling from this number. I am a small business owner. He tried to make his message sound like a very interested potential customer, but when he left a long distance call back number with an extension, I knew it was a sales call.

My email on May 15, 2012

To GTPublications LLC,

I had purchased an add on 9/28/2011, nearly 8 months ago.  According to our dialogue plus the written agreement I am suppose to receive a copy of the first edition.  I was originally advised by Stephanie Carlin (verbally) and Jeanne (via email) the directory would be available in ?late December, to early January?.  I was told later by a gentleman whom returned my phone message that the directory would be ready for April 2012.  I have not received any notice of postponed/cancelled status nor verification that the directory has become available.

I had tried calling your office at 561-450-7673 this afternoon, but the phone was not answered.

I am assuming the directory with my advertisement has not be made available. I would like to cancel my advertisement and request a full $250 refund, as I was never provided two (2) weeks prior notice in case of such postponements or cancellations.

Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated.

Regards,
Robert Schratz, AAI

Re: The aforementioned Mulligan's magazine. I wroked there for a brief period last year. While there I discovered some interesting information.

While looking for a job I saw an ad for First Cut Marketing (the company that produces Mulligan's) on Craigslist. They had an office on Sample Road in Coral Springs Florida. I applied and was hired pretty quickly. The purpose of the job was to sell magazine ad space to small business for Mulligan's, a magazine for golf enthusiasts that's distributed to country clubs. Went in and worked for about 4 days before I realized that this kind of sales work I have no talent for. The company realized it at the same time and sent me packing albeit in a nice fashion. Unffortunately I was never paid for the time I worked.

A few weeks later I was talking with one of my former co-workers from FC/Mulligan's and she told me she had left almost a week after I was let go. She told me she had made a sale to someone and that he'd called back the next day and told her that he'd checked with the local country clubs in the area that she'd named in her call and they had never heard of Mulligan's Magazine. So she went on to the Internet and discovered the following interesting news article:

http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2010-11-11/n ... rketing-license

Several of the people mentioned in that article (including Joshua Cooper) were working at Mulligan's when I was there. Apparently Nationwide Publishing had changed its name and shifted its base of operations from Boca to Coral Springs.

The Golf N Style thing was a scam and so's Mulligan's Magazine, despite the repeated denials by Mike Rao on certain websites. There is no actual Mulligan's Magazine,

First, the message I received from them was extremely unprofessional! I use to live in Delray and knew a bunch of people working for all these companies. Now I live back in PA and work for a construction company. They called and my boss was going to fall for it, thank goodness I checked the messages today and got the call back from "Joe". I told my boss about the scams and he was grateful that I did or he would be out some money!! Just lucky that I use to live in Delray and knew better!! Hope this posts helps too!!

I have been reading these reviews purely for entertainment purposes. All because I found myself out of work after the company I was with closed after 14 years.I was employed there for 8 years. I was out of work and wound up in this loop. I interviewed at Teed off Publishing,Platinum, Mulligans Magazine, 336 and Universal Press Publishing( now out of business). All of which are spin-offs within close proximity. I was going to make my decision after I researched and visited all of them. Well I made my decision, it was to stay as far away as possible from all of them. WHAT A MESS! I found a career in online marketing placing your company at the top of the 1st page page of Google for your related keyword phrase associated with your business. I am not promoting the company I am with by any means.Iif you want to promote your company there is one sure way to get it done, get to the top of the 1st page of Google for the most commonly searched key word phrase associated with your business. It will truly get the phone ringing.

The attacks of one another's companies on this review site speaks volumes in regards to the lack of maturity & professionalism associated with them.

Educated consumers will always prevail!!

"Got a call from "Kyle" suposedly from a countryclub"

I just got one of these as well, same name & M.O., on the number I use for real estate business.  Thanks for the heads up to everyone here, and I too will pass this forward to my fellow agents.  The 561 area code got my Red Flag waving from the get-go.

I own a massage business and got a call from "Kyle" with the Cottonwood Country Club asking me to call him back. I thought it strange he left a number that is not local or even within my state & googled the company. Funny enough the REAL company does not even go by that name. I am glad I found this forum because it looks like "Kyle" calls from a variety of companies. Red flag if some one calls saying they are with a local company but then don't leave a local number to call back on. Thanks for everyone sharing it helps people out... sorry for those who got riped off. Hopefully your CC company or bank can help get the money back.

I'm a detective sergeant with the Evansville Police Department. I received a phone call from a person who said that someone called from this number selling ads from the Evansville Country Club. The soliciter asked for the credit card number. The victim later called the Evansville Country Club and found out that she had been scamed. I advised her to contact the Florida Attorney General and report this scam.

I,m a realtor and get solicitation calls fairly often.  This Guy left a message and asked for me to call hime back. Thanks for the posts, you saved me time, now I'm paying foward.

Got a call from "Kyle" suposedly from a countryclub in PA.  What they don't know is the CC actually doesn't trade by the name "Kyle" used. I did NOT call them back.  Interesting that one of them is from PA. If they sound like a salesman - they probably are.     again, thanks for the former posts.

Platinum Publishing, LLC runs about 50 thousand dollars a week in false business. The owner of the company MICHAEL PRIMAVERA is a want to be gangster from Pennsylvania. He also is a bookie. He does not even live in the state. About every single one of the people in the company Platinum Publishing LLC have felony convictions on there record. If you go to www.sunbiz.org and look them up, you will find a bunch of different companies under similar name's. It is all the same company. The reason they have opened so many different LLC is because they keep having a bad rep and need to change merchants from so many charge backs. If Platinum Publishing wants to slander other people's names, they need to get a life. There has been about seven company's open up from there past employees so they are sore. Get over it. Thanks.
