same old s***, scam calls

They called, i answered, then it fumbled, like phone drop, started ringing somewhere else, East Indian answered, thick accent really hard to understand, told me something to the effect - my computer was having problems and they needed me to turn it on - I stopped the guy right there, and hung up. Now they call 3 - 6 times a day just to hang up.

tried to sell me pills I didn't want.

yeah I believe its a scam to cause a call my number almost everyday asked me to buy viagra cialis. Yet, I tell them every day I do not need any.

The answer when you call back. I just put out on twitter to generate as many harassing calls to them as possible.

I got a middle eastern man that was asking me about medications i was on. I asked who he was and what this was for, he said it was just for feedback on the drugs. I told him one of my medications (birth conrtol- no other personal info.) And he went on to say how he could get me a cheaper price. I told him i have insurance that pays for it, and asked again what this was for. He trasfered me to a "manager" it was him again. He went on this tangent about the USDA, acted like i was an idiot, until i hung up on him.

I get this call at least once a day from that number, and when I answer they hang up. I think they are either looking for a woman to answer or an elderly person. I did get a call from another number with the same area code and the broken English person was telling me that their records showed my computer was infected. I let the guy go thru his whole pitch making him believe I was interested then told him I'm homeless and robbing the house he called. He stuttered not knowing what to say and hung up, lol, lol!!! I never got a call from that number again. However, this number I will now block because they don't stop!! And if I hang right up by hitting the answer key then the off key, it calls right back!!!! The Do Not Call respond doesn't seem to work and these scammers know how to bypass it. Do people really fall for this stuff?????

Answer call from unknown number, blow whistle loud, hang up! Hope I broke their ear drum, it has been going on for 3 years  from different numbers

What this sounds like after receiving the same call but guy hung up before I could answer twice is a scammer scamming a telemarketing company. If they Track the amount of call he makes even with out a sale he is getting paid. So as long and he can show he is making a call an following up with it is the only thing I can figure he is doing from everyone else's comment of the exact same issues with this phone number.

I googled the number first as I always do and the first time he answered he said something PHARMA and I knew I had the right guy. By the way, it was the SAME GUY that answered the phone each and every time. The only reason I am back here is the idiot called me again today! I have him blocked so it didn't bother me but I guess this guy has no clue who is calling him or who he is calling. Seems like a one-man scamming outfit to me with zero technical skills.

Called and said   "this is Windows Technical Support Department..  Your computer is sending having sending out messages... and has a problem" (with a heavy accent)

I said.. Really now ?  Then What IP address are they coming from ?

6/3/14 called @ 9:30a - said they were microsoft ... called the # back .. they answered US-Pharmacy .... I don't say a word ... they hang up .. I re-dial lets see how they like it ...... It's great being retired to have the time to do this....  Since the DNC or the service providers won't do anything ... I just drive them nuts .... ps last call I got "supervisor" ..  i finally spoke .. told him I would redial till my phone battery went dead .. recharged & start again.........  said he would remove my # from the system ... I just doubled over laughing .. told him I don't buy his lies  

People ... keep doing what I do ... at least they are busy answering your calls ..

Called my work cell # speaking broken english stated that he is with Windows Technical Support . I asked him to repeat himself , then he hung up on me ...

I'm starting a campaign to stop these idiots from calling us.  CALL THEM BACK, hang up, then call them back again, hang up, call them back again, flush the toilet when they answer, set up a fax machine to continually redial their number.  Let's get back at them!

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I Google numbers that come in when I am at the computer or ipad, and that tells me if the number is used by a spammer.

The problem is that forging can duplicate any ID number, including that belonging to a business or private party.
In the case where innocent parties were harassed it was a number in a mobile pool that didn't show an owner.
However somebody paid 5 bucks to do a search and found an innocent party who had that number on an old plan several years earlier.

You can tell from Google if it's a frequent spammer, but you can't tell if the number you see on caller ID is correct or forged.

It's not a good idea to call back these numbers as some are forging the caller ID.
It's possible to harass an innocent party, in fact there were examples of this happening a few years back if anybody remembers the "dog call" where a political survey tested their system by asking people about dogs or pets.

If they put you on hold it's possible the caller ID forged is for a business, but it's much worse if the number forged is a private party, which is what happened in the earlier case.

Sometimes I mess with them and waste their time when they call, but I never call back the number on the caller ID.

Calls multiple times a day and I usually don't answer.  Last night answered and told them to stop calling.  They called again this morning and hung up on me when I told them to stop calling.

I called this number back REPEATEDLY! Some indian moron answered 7 out of the 10 times I called. When he answered, I repeatedly yelled "LEE LEE LEE LEE LEE TALIBAN" or "YOU HAVE WINDOW CORNPUTER, I TALIBAN" and he would hang up. Sometimes he would put me on hold for a minute (with music) but would eventually answer. The last couple times I called he just hung up so I'll try again later. I suggest the rest of you do the same if you have the time to kill since they can't make these BS calls if we're tying up his phones!

I answered, there was a fumble on the other end and loud background noises.  I hung up and did my search.

Part of an ongoing scam by Indian Scammer/Extortionists.   The same call center will pump out various scams.  Sometimes drug sales, sometimes phony computer fixes, sometimes something else.   No cure for it right now other than call blocking.

OMG!!! This guy kept calling and trying to get me to buy drugs! I blocked the number and will report yet ANOTHER national do not call registry offender.
