want these calls stopped

This number calls often and hangs up on my answering machine. Called today Sunday around 1PM

Received call from this number @ 8:30PM Friday evening. Did not leave a voice msg. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry list. Hope he gets caught as it sounds like from this site, that he is trying to rip off innocent people into sending him money. Belle Glade, Florida is  right below Lake Okeechobee. A very small town.

Yes I keep receiving the same call for donations to the state trooper association, etc...he even has a LE officer voice so after reading everyone's same statements on here I am glad I have been ignoring the calls lately...

they just called and left no message 561-829-2169 no i.d number on screem unavailable cowards don't give their own number ftc, bbb, consumer rights advocacy, d.a can stop this nonsense.

I'm with you!  These are NOT legitimate charities.  They are call centers and/or just people with cell phones hired by companies to collect money from unsuspecting people with hears too big for their own good.

Have been getting calls from this number and out of area appears, know right then it is nothing good.Why is it these jokers are allowed to use our phones which we pay for to conduct their businessand they are allowed to annoy us? Telemarketing should be outlawed, and those who violate our privacy should go to jail.

Having numerous daily calls from this number.  No one on line when I answer  then call disconnects after a moment.  No messages when I let voicemail pick up the call.  Very frustrating!

Got a call right around 12 Noon on May 7, 2012 from this number.  Machine picked it up, no message.  Clearly a scam!

Received a call from these people twice within five minutes. The answering machine picked up both times. The first time, they hung up. The second time a man said, "Hello? Hello?" before hanging up. Obviously a scammer!!

I am getting calls from this number too, so far three in the last week. If enough people complain maybe it will stop or he'll just get another number. Unwanted telemarketers etc. can receive a fine of $16,000.00 per offense.

I just got a call from this 561 829-2169 and let the machine answer it and there was no message. when I looked it up on Google I got all the info here and I'm glad I did not answer. This kind of posting is a great service.

police, trooper association asking for donations

Got a call 5/2/12. "Unknown name". Very well could be trooper association as I have contributed in the past. Read that most of the money doesn't even go to the troopers so I won't contibute anymore. I have spoken with them in the past, numerous times explaining to them I have cancer (which i really do), stop calling and take me off their list. Doesn't work though.

This # 561-829-2169 Not only called my cell #, and said nothing hung up when I did not answer. He also called the next day to my free cell # that I have with the state of fla, for parents with children who are on assistance. This is really scarry, how did he get my regular cell #, call at 7pm, then the next day at noon call my free cell phone # which I am pretty sure is unpublished.

I am sick of this it needs to stop.

Just got this call and let ans. mch. pick up.  Some guy kept saying" hello, hello can you hear me".
It's harrassment and nothing can be done about it.  Too bad you can't have peace and privacy in your own home. There's got to be a way to stop this annoyance.

Caller ID said UNKNOWN NAME, 1-561-829-2169.  No message left.  FLA police warn against any phone fund raising.

Just received a call from this number.  I let it go to answering machine and just heard "Hello?"  I was at the computer when it happened so plugged in the number and am very grateful to the folks who provide this kind of information for the benefit of others.  Thanks to all of you and to the website, too.

This is a dude stating they are from Fla Trooper Association asking for donations for officers killed in the line of dutyCalled them back and stated was from the american cancer society asking for a $100,000.00 donation for the prevention of breast cancer, the dude hung up. no way this is legit

Never ever give donations over the phone.  If they won't mail u something they are frauds.
