Texted me at midnight, asking about my wedding dress. And then finally responded today saying her daughter is getting married and really likes the dress. Said she used to be from "my area", seemed a little weird that she didn't state the city name. Said she would send the $300, plus $50 to hold, and once I received payment, I could send the dress. Said she's in Virginia.

Same thing just happened to me from this #. Will pay 30.00 more to hold and everything on one of my craigslist posts. Weirdo!! They were saying they used to live in my area and moved to CT. Way to obvious he is a SCAMMER!!

Just got scammed by this guy wanting to buy my wedding dress!!! Beware he is a FRAUD

I actually got 2 texts today from this number and 774-276-9607 and he said he was from CT and he wanted to buy the dress for his daughter and I said I looked up your number and I know this is a scam and he was like no its not but he wanted to send money orders and me hold the dress. I said no you need to western union the money or send your daughter with cash I will meet her somewhere and he never responded it's ridiculous people do this kind of stuff.

I also received the same text today with the same exact offer and wanting my information. And they don't know how to spell. And it's lame that they don't use a different number....

He just texted me about buying a wedding dress for his daughter. He is a security agent in Utah but used to live in my town. Wants to send a $39 hold and pay with money orders only. He is a scammer. His number is from Florida. And is English is poor. Dint trust this guy . He used the exact story multiple times!!

Just got the same call!!  The guy said all the same things that are listed on here almost exactly.  I told them Cash or PayPal only, and have not heard from them.  Should I call them out about being a scammer?

This number called me on Jan. 12 and it was about a dress, and he was in Utah and wanting to send a money order and an extra $30 to hold it,,,,,Very Very Weird, I told him I don't give my address out and he stopped texting me......PLEASE BEWARE PEOPLE< never know about people like this, Craigslist killer came to my mine because of him wanting your address FIRST......

Got a text this morning at 7:53am from 561-880-5755 wanting to buy a dress i had on craigslist.  The person said he just got a job in Utah as a security agent and wants to get the dress for his daughter's wedding and he will be paying $30 extra to hold the dress for him.  The dress i have is a figure skating dress for a little girl!!!  He said he would pay by postal money order and wanted my name and addy. NOT!!!!  AS-IF!!

This person texted me about a Craigs List item (at 2:30 in the morning) - told me 'he' was in Utah but the area code is Florida.  This person is obviously scamming.  He wants to send a money order - the full price of the item plus $30 to hold it for him.  Who does that?

Yeah roger is the one who wa texting me. I told him he's scam and he started putting out all my information and saying they can track me

I also received a text from 561-880-5755 about my wedding ring for sale. when I gave them a PO box # they said they had to send the money order to my home address. No way I'm giving out my home address over text message!  total scam. glad I googled the number.

Also told me they want to buy my wedding dress. They texted me from a different number yesterday so I found that odd. Said his name was Roger, trying to buy for his daughter, etc. Said he was from Utah. This is sad... here people are trying to make some extra money and this person is trying to steal from them instead. Quite pathetic!

They text me about a wedding dress I have for sale.  I know I won't follow up with them since they want to send a cashiers check with extra for shipping.  It's crazy that we cannot trust people anymore so we can just honestly sell our items.  I never heard back from them once I said cash only.  So clearly a scammer.

Yeah I do to, the ppl doing that I a fraud they want to send money orders and they will send you extra then what you want and have you send money back and that's because there fake money orders and there just trying to get money, you can get in trouble for cashing the checks.
