Received a so-called call from an operator stating a call was being made from a handicapped person.
The operator relayed a message from the caller asking if an item I had was still for sale. I replied it was. The person asked for my e-mail address in order to ask more detailed questions about the item. I gave the e-mail out and received minutes later an e-mail from the caller stating they would be sending in a person to view the item. I relayed my name, address and phone #. No further correspondence. I became suspicious and checked the phone number and it was somewhere in Florida with the name RD Tel, Inc. as the caller ID. I immediately put all correspondence into spam mode and beefed up my virus protection. This morning I received a call that was not answered. Caller ID shows the number as (806) 640-6999 and named SWPS CO. Research shows this number to be out of Amarillo, TX. Both number shows
Southwestern Bell connection. Looks to be a scam to me.
