 just got that call today from that same number 561 948 3837 they tryed to tell me the same thing. i once was a collector , i know they can look you up by name and address they refused they wouldnt even send me anything . ticked me off.

I too was called today!  They couldn't tell me anything other than saying that I was under federal investigation, even had the nerve to tell me to close out my bank accounts

They called me today and the guy hung up on me three times! They told me they were coming to my work to get me fired, Beware... I reported this to the police. They had ALL of my information. My social security number, my address, my bank account info, email address, my work phone number. Said it was a cash advance. They couldn't tell me what exact date the loan was taken. I told them I was getting a lawyer and he hung up. I called back several times and got voice mail. I asked for someone who spoke audible english and he hung up. I asked for a date again and they hung up. He even gave me a seperate number to call. When I called I think it linked back to him and he hung up. Going to the bank to change info tomorrow. Kind of Scarey.

I have gotten several calls from them as well. My husband is a New Jersey State Trooper, so I put him on the phone and they hung up on him several times. They gave us bogus addresses and couldn't produce one scrap on real information about me. All they knew were the last 4 digits of my social and they had the nerve to ask me for my Debit card #!! I laughed and told him that's not happening. My husband has been calling them every 20 minutes all day to bug the crap out of them. LOL

THEY ARE SCAMMERS---- PEOPLE IN A CALL CENTER FROM INDIA-- CANT SPEAK CLEAR ENGLISH AND TRY TO USE PROFANITY THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

This company called my sister 8 times in one day saying that they had my social and all this information about me.  I called them and I asked them what they do and he said we "F*&K people like you.  I said excuse me several times because I could not believe this and he repeated it numerous times.

This number called me stating that I had taken out a payday loan and owed them $300, and that if I did not pay them they would send a sherriff out to arrest me. I spoke with my attorney and she said it was a hoax. I then called them back and informed them of my name, and they were very polite until I told them I had spoken with my attorney and they are a hoax, she then said "thank you, goodbye." Of course this is an India based company.

i received a call from someone name john saying that i received funds from cash advance but i did not receive or have any knowledge of funds being placed into my account he stated that the funds were placed into my meta bank account and they tried to retreive the funds but were unable to if the funds were placed into that account what do i need to do to have them returned because i did request the loan but did not know that i was approved and did not pursue or have not checked that accoyunt to see if funds were in it so what must i do to return the funds if they are in fact in my account

Has anyone reported this problem to any of there local police departments to try to get this cleared up?

I got a call from a guy named Mack Thomas, He has a middle eastern accent. He stated that I took out a loan for $300 dollars in september 2009, I asked what the exact date was in september,09 that the loan was taken out, He could not tell me. The funny thing is, Is I have never taken out a loan. He then began to explain that The 300 was taken out from CashAdvanceUSA online and that I have refused to pay it so now were going to have to pay 510.00 for a late fee and if that was not payed then we would be taken to court and they were going to sue for the amout of $5000.00 and I would then be denyed of any credit score.
By this time I new it was a SCAM

So I then asked if I could get the payment address so I could send a check/money order, To hear his reaction, He then stated that none of those options are avaliable, I must pay with Credit/Debit Card, I then stated that I do not have any of the following, He then said I must go to a store and buy a pre-paid credit card to make the payment. lol calling him back to mess with him is funny. I was also hung up on twice.

For anyone that gets these type of calls.

I received a call in regards to a loan I supposedly took out with Cash Advance USA. The call was from 813-703-1590. They called my job, my grandmother and my mother. Never took out a loan with this company. So I called and spoke to some person that could barely speak english. Totally different name from the person who originally left the message. I told them that I never took out a loan so that gave me 1-561-948-3837 and a case number. I called the number and it stated it could not be completed as dial. This really bothered me because they are calling my work, my mother and my grandmother. I even looked at my account to see if I did take out a loan and never did. How do I stop this harrassing call?

I got a harrasing phone call from a place called ACS at 813-347-9440 want me to settle out of court for a loan that i supposable took out with a cashadvance place and had my DL# and my mom's phone number and told me to settle out of court or they will come and arrest me at my job. This was very disturbing to me cause i had not taken out a loan. They were very rude and every time i called back they would hang up on me. Why cant we get these people to stop doing stuff like this?

Got a call from someone at my work who said  they have a legal matter to discuss with me. He said he needed to hand the phone over to the legal deptarment. Alex took over the call who told me he was the Attorney General handling my case. He said he had three allogations against me and was going to  press charges.He explained to me that it was in regards to a pay day loan i'd taken out back in March of this year, and even knew the name of my bank. I told him this was an invalid debt and i could prove it. He told me i would have to take the proof to court. I then asked him for proof of debt, which he has to provide to me. He said there is no proof. I told him that I didn't believe he was a real collection agency, because if I told a real collection agency I had proof that this is not my debt, they would be willing to work to resolve this issue. I then asked what it was he was going to take to the court to prove i owed them money. He hung up on me.

OMG....I just did this! I posted an ad for free Labradoodle Puppies! And I live in NYC. Do yo know how many calls they're going to get from people. LMAO

I was called from unavaliable number but callback # was 1-347-625-3715 and they claimed I owed $500.00 for a payday loan, I told them I hadn't received a loan and asked for the number of the company that gave them my info they gave me the number 1-561-948-3837... The same person that I had been talking to previously picked up the phone... I told them i was callin the police, BBB, and my lawyer... They hung Up...

I got a message  on my work phone from 813-756-4724 saying it was a matter of my social security number. They had my mothers name my drivers licence# etc. I called back to ask for David Smith ( whom had a strong middle eastern accent) instead i got a guy named Alex. Who was extreamley rude and evassive. I hung up on him cause I knew I was in the right. I called back to get Corprate# of Cash Advance USA and they gave me 561-948-3837 and it was a different a***ole at the same call center. This is a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from a Mack Thomas telling me I owe money to Cash avanage USA said the number was 561-948-3837 I want to no why no one can catch these scammers and put astop to these call

Post their number to Craigslist offering free puppies.  They will get 1000's of calls back.

I recieved a call from a person claiming to be James Carter.  Saying that I owe $600. hundred to a payday loan.  If not payed to them I will be in trouble with the law.  I hung up my phone.

People, do not give these people any info or money!
