United Advocate Group is supposedly a "scam recovery" co.  They called my mom saying they were a company to recoup loss from scams involving selling a timeshare.  They had info on one of the times she had paid upfront to sell here timeshare.  They want a fee upfront to get your money back.  Sounds like a scam again.  My mom is 85 and constantly preyed upon by these companies.

The Dept of agriculture overseas all telemarketing in the state of FL believe it or not!

I received a phone call from this number today and was told that their fees would be deducted from the money that had been collected by civil suits by the Florida Attorney General. The contract that i received clearly states that an "initial deposit"was to be made to SGS Consulting Group. I think that this is yet another scam and one wonders if there are any honest companies in Florida.

Any company that is "recovery" is typically a scam. The owners of united Advocates used to work for Creative, a fraudulent timeshare re-seller. You should only work with a company that will recover your money first, and then charge their fee! There is no need for retainers or deposits. Typically a phone rep will make commission off of a phone sale, in the timeshare industry it can range from 12-40% per deal, depending on the position. You can do this on your own, just call up your credit card, open a dispute, and hope to win. Thats what SGS does, and you can do the same. The problem is they take on clients they know they cant help, and they do get money back for people because anyone can do what they do. Best bet, if you havent had any luck, do it yourself, or find a company that charges after the recovery. ONLY do 3 way calls with your credit card, dont give your information over the phone!!!

Received a call from a Kevin mid Jan 2011.  Said to fax all the timeshare purchase info which I did at end of Jan 2011.  They said they can guarantee full recovery of payment which I foolishly got myself into. They sent contract with United Advocacu (division of S& G Consulting) requesting the 25% upfront payment. Before accepting, I asked for their cell numbers for me to call back.  I did call back and yes the numbers were still good early Feb 2011.  I signed contract and paid at end of Jan 2011. Early Feb 2011, I called the United Advocacy and even Kevins cell and was able to talk.  He said the arbitrator is working on this.  In 3rd week of Feb I still have not received any results so tried calling them.  All I received was answering machine and left messages.  No one is returning the calls.  The cell numbers were only ringing and today, someone answered and said I have the wrong cell number.

Called to let me know that they could recover all the money that I had paid to companies who had defrauded me in trying to sell my timeshare.  They would need to collect 25% of  the amount recovered and would need my credit card number .  Put the pressure on by saying that 3/3/11 they would be unable to collect anything since these companies would be shut down.

The Dept. of agriculture? What jurisdiction might they have over telemarketers?

They called me and wanted all my information and I won't give it to them.  I have called the FL. Dept of Timeshare Regs and they don't know them, they told me to call the Dept of Agriculture 850-488-3022.  I am getting ready to do it.

I also have gotten numerous calls from a bunch of 561 area codes. I was assured that the company, United Advocates Group, (a division of) SGS Consulting Group LLC, could recover money that I stupidly paid to a bogus timeshare resale "company". The person that I spoke with said that they would not require any payment up front. Their "legal department" called me back to get the specifics on the case, and wanted to get my credit card number so that they could charge their 25% recovery fee from it. I told them that the first caller said that there wouldn't be any up front charges, and that I wanted them to fax me a contract to read. I now have a contract from them but cannot find any listing for them anywhere!
Who are they, and has anyone had any good dealings with them?

keep getting this 561-988-9209 number calling me about recovering money from a scam that was from a timeshare please stop calling me i don't deal with company's that think they can do it again ,that is why i don't deal with anyone or company out of florida

I received a call from this number on my Caller Id purporting to be from SG's Consulting on 1-13-2011.  The lady who called was representing the United Advocate Group.  She claimed that she was only the "up front" sales person.  I regret that I didn't get her full name.  She hung up before she gave me the entire 877- number to call back toll free.  United Advocate Group is not listed in the Dexknows business listings and the 561-988-9209 did not come up either.

Apparently, the United Advocate Group is farming out its sales to independent telemarketers.
