This lady called and said that she was with the National Distributors and wanted to know about our black toner for our copiers. She wanted our copiers id #'s and said the ones and stated an old address. I was asking her questions and if we ever did business with them, and she stated that there was a major error with their database. So I told her that I wouldn't do it that we work with our local company for our copier. BEWARE.. They will get you!

These scammers called and tried to get me to tell them our copier model #, pretending that they are our regular vendor. They are not. Hung up on me once I told them that they are not the company that we use.

Got a call from this company again today...recognized it was them even though their number was blocked from their fun "script" which goes a little something like this:

Them: "I'm calling from your copier customer service, we needed to update our file with your copier number, if you could go to the copier and read the number off the front for me."

Me: "Ok, where are you calling from?"

Them: "From Customer Service [like I hadn't gotten that part before]...we're updating our records."

Me: "But from what company exactly?" [Since it was obviously NOT ours]

Them: ...... [hang up]

What a scam, and how rude. I'm sure they'll match what kind of toner your copier uses, send it to you, then send you a ridiculous bill hoping no one questions where it's from...

Rec a call. He said he just need our copy counts and a few other details from our machine.  I said "Sure, just give me the ID of the copier you are calling about."  He immediately hung up the phone.  I'm pretty sure this is a scam.  THEY will call saying they are from "our" copier place and they try to get our info and then send out cartridges to fit the machine.  Then they send a bill for an astronomical amount and hope the companies billing department just pays it.  BE CAREFULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this same # call me asking for the same stuff and so I hung up on her.  She called back 2more times, evidently angry I was rude and hung up on her and left a voicemail that it needed to be reported to my boss.  My boss and I laughed, that she was so high and mighty that I hung up on her scam.  What a joke!

Looks like the toner scammers thought they could lay low and then start up again. The woman asked how I was doing, and then launched into the scam. She said she was calling from "Copier Customer Service" and asked for the model # of "the copier."

Really? Dude, this is so transparent.

Our actual copier service provider knows that we have a number of copiers, and the name of the company is not "Copier Customer Service." I politely let her know that we are not interested in the scam.

I get a call from this company all the time.  They pretend to be my "cartridge supplier".  I tell them I am on a lease so they must know which company I use for my copiers.  This is usually when they hang up.  They are phishing and totally misrepresenting who they are to you.  I can't believe this stuff is still allowed to happen.

They called us from this number and asked about our order and some other kind of ****. They would fax us an order for us to sign and fax back to them. And then they would send us a bill for 4 times the going price.

Stay away.

A person from the 5622224488 keeps calling saying he is calling about our copier and wants to send us some supplies.  Since the supplier for my real copier is someone I know, I knew it was a scam.  Been there done that.  They will send you tonier and charge you 3 x the cost.  Beware and hang up on them when they call.  

Some guy called saying our company had contacted him and he needed some number from our copier machine. I found it suspicious considering the called ID read "Universal" and I know for a fact they know how to contact. Anyhow I transferred the call to the employee who deals with the copy machine. And he couldn't even tell us what brand of copier we had. Instantly fake and then he hung up. Caught. SALES call. DON'T call this number back or pick up. And don't try to give out any of your companies information without finding the callers information first.

I typically get a call once or twice a year from this place.  They ask for the numbers on my copy machine.  The last time they called, I pretended like I was getting the number for them and reported back with S-C-A-M. She was silent for a second, them read it back to me, "scam?".  I said, "yep".  She replied, "Okay, have a nice day", and hung up.

Asked who handles the ordering for the copy machine he needed to get our order. I said I was not sure, but could find out. When I asked him what company he was from he hung up.

Yeah, these are scammers. It's obvious from the start when they refuse to give their name and the company they work for. The lack the professionalism over the phone is a huge warning sign.  I wouldn't say they're telemarketers. Telemarketers will remove you from their list upon request and not call again. Like a few others have observed, when you push them for answers they become defensive or hang up. Don't give them your information!!!

called to check on our copier as well.  Wanted the make and model to check with their "records".  They claimed there were the main  distributor for us, however we deal directly with Canon.  When I reiterated this for the third time she finally hung up.

Isaiah from Universal Supply Company wanted to ask a specific manager for his copier's model number, so he could match it with the correct toner cartridge.  I've been working for umpteen years and cannot believe this scam is still going on!  Normally I give these people the bum's rush, but my back-up was on duty when the call came in and actually checked with the manager to make sure.  This was the number on Caller ID, but the one he left was 855-838-6637.  Tried phoning both to tell him to cease and desist but heard music each time and couldn't hang on, for obvious reasons.

"Rep" tried to tell me that my "rates" where changing, I've got unlimited free toner. When pushed for better answers, she hung up.  Dialed same number and was told by alleged "Mark McCarthy" whom answered the phone and happened to be the floor supervisor (a tittle told to me AFTER requesting for a manager twice! What a coincidence, right?) that I would not be called again. Next time we seek the lawyers on them.

Guy said he was from customer service calling about our copier.  I asked, "What customer service and what copier?"  He hung up on me!!!!  Typical Scammer!!!

Called back number 562-222-4488 because they did not leave message, and the name of the company is Universal Cartridge, so it is a sales call.
