These calls are not from telemarketers. They are harassing and should be reported as threatening phone calls since children are involved. There is a number associated, which is not typically the case, so all that is needed is a court order to track down those behind this.

didn't leave a message. have called several times. i called back using my magic jack and told them to call a number that connects to my local police department.

People, do a web search on Steam's website being hacked by Maddoxx. (Also note the similarity in the name of the poster above.) This jerk (or jerks) are probably behind this. I strongly recommend that you kill the credit card acct on Steam if that's where this idiocy is coming from.

Our local police and police of area the call came from said that they are pretty sure it's a credit card scam and that it's advisable to run a credit check on the person the caller was asking for.

Us too. Anyone's child recently open up an account with Steam (gaming site)? Thinking their database may have been hacked in to and callers are phishing for more info.
