Texting my cell and costing me money. I sent a text back "STOP" as advised from my cell phone company, but they keep sending them.

This is how you get back at those scammers:

Call their toll-free number (1-866... or 1-888... or 1-800...) from a PUBLIC PHONE booth.

Why? Because everytime they take such a call, they have to pay at least $0.50 to the phone company of the public phone booth! Also, it will make them stop if it
starts to cost themtoo much.

Please do the same, because this is what you get out of it: they pay you to hear your complaints! The more you call, the more they have to pay!    

The number they gave me was 1-888-336-3169 - and I called this number today at least 20-30 times... That costs them at least $10 to $15 - and probably much more, because the $0.50 that these scammers have to pay for each call is the minimum amount. It can be as high as $0.75 per call.

I was about ready to send back a text message that included cursing in it.  It is ridiculous to receive calls like this when you are not a do not call list

Got the same message from the same number,  562-485-7914, on jan 6 9:52 pm.  It's so annoying! Is this even legal to receive a text message if we are on the do not call list?

other numbers as well... Texts are not free.. Somebody needs to report them and stop them
from doin this

Got same message on different days from two different numbers: 562-485-7914 and 310-694-7978. "Dear Homeowner, interest rates are at historic lows. Now is the time to refinance.. May we give you a call regarding this?"

same as above. They've texted for three days now

562-485-7914 texts twice in quick succession. 2 days now. Dear Homeowner ....

TEXT messaging: Dear Homeowner ....  There are 2 other numbers as well

1-949-374-9109 and 310-562-9517 and both of these show up in a search as cell phones one in Capistrano Valley and the other WLA.  The 5624857914 is a landline in Long Beach, CA.  These are obviously telemarketers and they need to be stopped.
