Received a call from "Kristin" with "Burton Associates" who told me that there was a complaint against my company (a 2 person engineering corp.) for nonpayment of a $293 bill from an org called NAMSA, which I have never heard of. She was evasive as to what Burton A**. was. I told her to send me documentation of the bill, and I'd go from there, but I wouldn't do anything over the phone. She then threatened to sue me, and I told her to go ahead and try it. Then I hung up.

I checked on Google for Namsa--it's a medical supply company. I have a PhD, and therefore use the title Dr. Obviously she got my name and phone no. somewhere, thought I was a physician, and that an overdue bill from them would be plausible. Surprise, surprise! I have nothing to do with the medical industry.

There's plenty of stuff on this site regarding a Christine from Burton Associates. She really harasses many people.

I haven't heard from her again. I don't think I will.
