Have gotten 2 calls today. Once no one was on the line and the next time music was playing. From finding the info people left on this site about this number I now know it was a scam call and won't answer again.

I just answered a call from this number because it came up as Davenport, IA which is not too far from me so I assumed it could be legit even though I didn't recognize the number. It was someone who said he needed to authorize the delivery of some transmission service, I thought he said Medical but couldn't be sure. He never asked for a specific person, and when I interrupted to tell him he had the wrong number he just kept going with some spiel about how it could be for a family member or loved one... At that point I said No thanks, take me off your list and hung up. I can't find a lot online about this number and he didn't specifically ask me for any personal info but I also didn't give him a chance. Sounds suspicious to me.

This is ridiculous!!!!! Who are these people and why the hell do they call and hang up two or more times a day. How can I stop this madness?????  They start at eight in the morning and keep going on and on even on Sundays.  Any answers to my question on how to get them to STOP?

RIGHT FRICKEN ON!  How are they paying these people to sit around and hang up on us when they're a charity anyway?  THey want to help the cause, quit the job and get a real one.   If they're volunteering, find a new hobby....

Got several calls from this number listing it as coming from Iowa
but no one ever is on the line.

I programed one of my computers to call the number 9,999 times and fax them a message not two call my number.  I also set it to call only between 9am and 9pm their time.  I set not to hang up till a fax machine answers or 15 mins.  Then wait 3 minutes and call the number back.  I called the number from work and got a busy signal several times.  When I got through a very nice lady tried a sales pitch on me which would have made Billy Mays proud.  After I played with her for half an hour I said no thanks and don't call back.  Then I had few office mates call the number  and do the same thing.

When I got home, the computer did send a fax.  They took 96 calls from my computer before they put a fax on to answer the call.  I called the number from home a told them if they ever call here again my responce would be overwhelming.

I would suggest fight fire with fire.  CALL THEM BACK!  HAVE YOUR FRIENDS CALL THEM!  HAVE YOUR RELATIVES CALL THEM!  CHURCH MEMBERS CALL THEM!  TIE UP THEIR PHONE LINES.  Listen to there sales pitch then tell them not interested don't call back and hang up.

I have received numerous calls from this number. Usually when I answer no one responds to my "hello".   I actually had a woman to respond one time with, " Is John there ?" I said there is no one here by that name; to which she hung the phone up.

A**holes! My family lives in the 563 area code...don't make me think something is wrong! Use an 800/888 number for your crap. And P.S. - I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!!

Yeah, that may be who they are but talking to them and even giving them a pledge doesnt stop the frequent calls.I want to know how to stop them too. Driving my household crazy for weeks,.

563-209-9353 calls me in the middle of dinner consistently 5 days a week.   No one there.  Very strange and annoying at the same time.   IT REALLY SUCKS!

I called the number back and spoke to a real person.  I explained that I was on the national do not call registry and the operator explained that it does not apply to charities.  He did say they maintain an internal do not call registry and he would put my number on it if they had my permission to call once a year to ask for donations.  We'll see what happens.

Call from this number this morning answered nobody was on the line and the caller ID only said IOWA several minutes later recieved a call from the same number same thing answered nobody there then when I checked the caller id it said no data but then when I checked again it was the same IOWA phone number one at 10:45am and the otyher at 10:58am. I am on the Do Not Call list I wish people would respect the wishes of those of us who don not want to be bothered at home

Been calling for weeks multiple times a day..hang up when I answer.  I had to call them back and they id themselves as homeless veterans and asked for money.  I told them I would send a pledge but the calls keep on coming.  They never leave a message. Driving us crazy.

They called on 10-10-10 @8:55 pm and hung up, so I called back and they said it was some veterans group trying to help homeless vets, spoke real fast and would NOT repeat name,hung up on me when I told him I was a veteran !

I am so happy to hear that I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE getting these calls, what a pain, and who do they think they are? This has been going on for over 3 months. I give alot to the Veterans, as both my father was a POW in WW2 as was my father-in law. This is an insult to Veterans and I will be calling the Veterans society about this. Thank you to all posted about your service. I can never tell you how much we all appreciate what you do, and especially what you did for us. I am like a dog with a bone, and this is unacceptable.

I called the number back and got the "Disabled Veterans Drive" or something to that effect.  This is an organization that has called using several different names in the past and just like others have said here, they call incessantly and blatantly lie about their service and whether you had given in the past.

My recommendation is to pick up the phone, inform them about the "Do Not Call" list, and suggest that if they call again, you have a very good attorney who would love to investigate whether they are in violation of federal or state laws.

I just recieved a call from this number. My caller ID said Davenport, Iowa. When I answered, they hung up. I stayed on the line a minute, but they never came back. I am on the no call list and also would like to report this call.

These people call incessantly and never answer when I pick up.  They called me and my wife at 9:00pm.

Do Not Call - I will not answer.  I am on the Do Not Call Register.

The Jeff Greene people keep calling form 1-800-260-9125, they leave no message and hang up when you do answer the phone.  We have an unlisted number!  Stop calling!

no answer from them. stayed on the line til the phone hung up on me. 1st call I've recieved.  why do they call and then hangup if they're supposedly trying to make a sales/donation pitch?  what's the purpose of calling if they're just going to hangup?
