Got a call from these jerks at 6:38 am today.  Woke up four seniors, two of whom are very ill and needed uninterrupted sleep and the other two who are the caregivers.  Heavy accent, insisted on speaking to someone about our computer.  WE HAVE NO COMPUTER !  We use the ones at the library!  I called back twice, get a recording each time that it's not a working number.  Go figure!  And the DNC list is worthless, can't see how it's stopping any telemarketer calls for the house phone or 4 cells.  Even our 10 yr old grandson was getting telemarketer calls until we limited the numbers that can come in to him.  We pay for these phones, the service and minutes, so !@#@$% callers can use that time to irritate you!

Got a call at 6:40 a.m.  It alarms me when I get a phone call that early because I think there must be a family or friend problem.  I live in Arkansas.  When I saw it was a number with an area code I didn't recognize, I am glad I didn't answer because of the other posts--I now check all such numbers on sites like this as most are scams and never pick up on them!!!

got a call at 5:40 am, saying there was a problem with our computer. My husband answered the phone and went off on them for calling that early, and there is nothing wrong with our computer (user friendly version), told them to never call here again and hung up. They had a very heavy accent, total scam.

Call came in at 6:30 AM....left no message.

A man called me at 5:30AM today.  He sounded Asian and spoke broken English.  He was so busy speaking that I had to yell his name 3 times to get him to stop and listen to me.  I told him it is onl.y 5:30AM here and if he ever called this number again, I was reporting him.  Very disgusting.  I am on a do not call list, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.  I just renewed a few weeks ago and I still receive calls.  

I received a call at 6:16am EST this morning.  Caller-id read 'Name Not Found'.  When I answered, the male on the other end kept asking to speak to my husband, asking for Mr. XXX.  He knew our correct last name which makes me nervous.

I was awakened by an early morning call from this phone number, claiming that it was Microsoft.  They said that my computer was "whining" and that I needed to follow certain steps to fix the problem.  I was prompted to press the windows key at the same time as the "r" key and then type "event".  This started to take me to my personal files.  I told the woman who spoke in a foreign accent that she was trying to hack me, and not to call again.

Received a call at 6:30 am....no one calls at that time unless it is important...so I answered...some poor Indian scammer wanting to know if I had computers. Hung up right then

Women with Indian accent called at 8:30 am.  Said they had received error messages from my windows computer and computer was going to crash.  Wanted me to turn on computer.  I assume she was going to ask for access so she could fix it.  

Called me at 7:15am this morning and have called us at least four other times in the last three weeks claiming to be from Microsoft. I told them I knew they were a scam, remove me from their call list, and hung up.

They called me up to say my Mac computer was corrupted

you can go onto the DNC registry and report the number.  That's what I do.

Received phone call at 2014-01-17 Friday 6:08 AM EST, male, thick Indian or Pakistani accent, alluding to some numbers that "he detected on my computer."  Hung up on him.  Reverse lookup suggests a phone near Seattle WA.  Very bothersome call.  Shall try to report it as a harassment.  

I received a call this morning at 6:05am.  I thought the call was coming from overseas since the voice had a strong foreign accent.  When I checked the area code I found this website.  It was obvious in the first few seconds of the call that it was a fraudulent attempt to gain access to my computer.  Needless to say, I gave out no information, but looked at my caller ID and jotted down the number.  I then went to donotcall.gov and wrote a complaint.  I am planning to call the FBI around 9am to see if they can investigate this type of situation since it may be a case of attempted fraud across state lines.  Everyone writing on this website is aware of the risk, but something needs to be done to protect those less knowledgeable and naive so they do not fall victim to this type of scam.  I hope others will write the donotcall site with a complaint as well.

Yes. Talk real low so they need to listen very hard to hear you. Then put one of them cheep air horns in the phone and blast their ear. They will not hear for awhile. Just a thought.

Got call at 6 in the morning woman told me i had bad computer viris told her were to go and hung up.

I got this call @ 5:54 am. I live in Ohio. Says that they know I have a computer and I have unwanted messages on it.  Said they can help me remove them.  Hung up on them.

Calling me at 6am is not an option. My number is also on the do not call registry. This number does not recieve incoming calls, so who do I complain to?

I live in Ohio and received another call at 6:40am. I told him not to call again and if he knew what time it was. He has called many times and I always hang up. Seems strange that phone companies can't do much about calls like these.

Got the call at 11:30 am in NY.  mine is a dedicated fax line but every once in a while i get a call from important parties who don't know i switched to cell phone usage primarily.  Some of these can be important. So I do the star69 to find out who the caller was and if I need to call them back.  Each time I do this it costs me money on my phone bill.  This costs me.  So do many, many electric companies who are vying for my business.  I call them back and tell them i am on the do not call list and to take me off of their list.  They then hang up on me.  I get another call from them in less than a week.  They will not tell the name of their companies so I can go forward to the attorney general's office.  Anyone got any ideas?

I get these scam calls at least a few times a week and it's usually in the early morning hours and always from a man with an Indian accent.  The call this morning came in at 5:50 am!!!!  I asked if he knows that it isn't even 6 am yet and that didn't phase him at all, he just went into his spiel about how I needed to turn on my computer.  One thing this guy said that the others never did is that he isn't with Windows and that Windows would never contact you (so they've figured out that people are onto them with the Windows lie)  anyway just tell them that you have a MAC, when I told the guy that he said, "Just be on your computer ma'am....Bye"

Call received at 9:00 a.m.  (Central) on 1/13/14.  Caller ID:  Washington Call.   Suspicious number, suspicious caller ID,
so the call was not answered.   Came to this web site to confirm that it's a scam call.   This number will be blocked
on my phone system.

Note:   I continue to be amazed at the number of entries on this web site that mention "I am on the Do Not Call LIst".  
It should be noted that scam callers pay no attention to the DNC list, since what they do is illegal to begin with.
Call your telephone service company and complain to them...ask them if they have a call-blocking service you can
use.  

This number called my mother today. Same M.O. - a foreign man was demanding that our computer was broken and he needed to fix it. My mom hung up on him. He called right back and actually yelled at her. My brother got on the phone and demanded to know what company he was with and he wouldn't say. All he would say is that he has to fix our computer. We are on the Do Not Call list and yet this guy is allowed to do this.

I got a call from this number as well @ 6:43 am . I didn't recognize the number , so I didn't answer. No message was left. My mother got a simular call a while back. She just hangs up on them. They tell her that her computer is causing problems with theirs and they need her to go online and let them fix it. They persisted in the calls and she started telling them off and told them she didn't even have a computer. Unfortunatly one day one of my brothers was at my Mother's and they again called . I couldn't believe he got on my mother's computer and was doing whatever they told him. Thank goodness something happened and they were disconnected. When my mother found out , she let him know what he had done. He had never heard about this type  of calls. He's a business man and is rarely home. It wouldn't surprise me if my mother's call was from this same number. Someone needs to get rid of these scam calls.

Called at 5:57 a.m. when I answered it was a man who could barely speak English when I asked who was speaking and he didn't answer.
