I have been receiving calls from this number on both my work phone and cell phone.  For them to be calling my cell phone tells me that my cell number has been sold to them by ACE Check Cash, Star Title Loans or Check-In-Go, as this is a new number and I have not applied for any new payday loans online or otherwise.

The guy who called had a heavy accent, I could barely understand what company he said he was calling from (Baker & McKenzie law Offices) and that his name is John Davis. He later told me he was a paralegal for the company and if I wanted him to stop calling me that I needed to speak to a senior analyst and he could give me all the information I needed but he himself did not know the details.  I think if he doesn't know the details he doesn't need to be the one calling in the first place.  I told him I know this is a scam call and that I would be reporting it to the FCC and then to the FBI if they do not stop calling me and I hung up.  Well to show how professional this guy or company really is he continued to call me back to back until about 8pm CST.  He didn't leave any messages until maybe the last few times he called.  Telling me to have my attorney of record to return the call and that this is a legal matter involving my name and social security number.

I too received a phone call from this number and was told it is an attorney's office and that they are coming to my job to serve papers on me for not paying a payday loan. I have no idea what this is in reference to, however they have the last four of my SSN, my employer and my DL number. Very concerned.

Just received a call from this number asking if I had received my papers from not paying back a payday loan.  Told him to take his scam and shove it

Got the same call you did--it is a scam no one can sue you without serving papers. I filed a complaint with both the FTC and the FBI since they also threatened with physical violence. Contact these 2 services and file a police report if necessary.

I received a call at work stating that they had a complaint against my name and I needed to call the attorney. I ask who I was speaking to and name of the company. He gave me Baker & McKenzie. I asked Daniel Steven, Paralegal why the attorney couldnt call me.He replyed the attorney Lance Martin was in another office. I also tried to find out why they were calling me and he didnt know. I unfortunately fell for one scam before but not again..
