Usually the accent is so thick on mystery calls that, though I recognize them as scams, I can't follow up because the3 number isn't clear.  This one, who said he was Mike, didn't have the accent, but just left a message to call the listed phone number.  Of course, I didn't call it, just looked it up at this source.  The previous calls have mentioned winning something, or having a gift for me.  I've never followed up, because I may be old, but I'm not brain dead yet.  And I let the answering machine take all my calls, only pick up when I want to talk to the caller!

SCAM - They claim to be from "Winner's International" (Mark Shields) based out of Las Vegas (35 Carson Street, a parking lot!), a scam saying that you earned a lot of money. They say they are associated with PCH (Publisher's Clearing House - online sweepstakes) and that you're supposed to send them some upfront money to cover delivery fees so they can meet at a bank and have an armored truck to deposit the entire amount. Apparently these idiots haven't heard of a wire transfer! They sent us some cheap mailers and followed-up with a phone call a few weeks later. Below is link from PCH's website saying that they do not ask people to send them money. http://pch.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/149/related/1
