I went through the same story from guys calling themselves Jay Hansen @ IGC Financial and a "buyer" named Eric Palmer.  They offered 500 more than I asked, and asked me to pay $430 which is 1/2 the closing costs!  "Jay" says he's in Port Clinton, Ohio.  WATCH OUT!!

Almost the exact story as listed here, just a different phone number....

Sometime between June 28, 2011 and July 6, 2011, I received a telephone call from Jay Grant on my cell phone.  He asked if we were interested in selling our timeshare.  After I responded yes, he indicated that he and his wife were interested in purchasing our timeshare.
He and his wife had stayed in a friend?s timeshare at the Polo Towers in Las Vegas a couple of years ago, had a great time and loved it.  The friend offered to sell the timeshare to them, but they couldn?t at the time because they were expecting their second child, now two years old.  He said they were now in a position to purchase the timeshare, and was I interested in selling and how much.He said Eric Dunn would be contacting me regarding financing, closing costs, etc.
Eric Dunn called me a couple of days after the initial contact from Jay Grant.  He explained his role and the process regarding the timeshare sale between me and the Grants.  He said that his company processed timeshare and RV loans which are very different from regular real estate loans.  It takes 3-5 days from inception to completion of the transaction.  Closing costs would be $860, payment of which would be discussed by Jay, the buyer, and me, the seller.  I said that I expected $10K to pay off the balance owed, with the net proceeds payable to me.  Eric said that would be decided in a discussion between the buyer and seller.
On Friday, 6/15, Jay called me to talk about splitting the closing costs of $860 at $430 each.  I told him I could not afford $430, and he said he was in the same position.  Eric would arrange to write the loan for $10,500, so that the loan proceeds would pay my portion of the closing costs, and we agreed.  Jay called on Tuesday, 7/19/11, at 5:38 p.m, to ?remind? me that Eric Dunn was expecting the $430 transaction to take place on Wednesday, 7/20/11.
On Wednesday, 7/20/11, I Googled:  Jay Grant with no clear results; IGC Financial, the name associated with the telephone number (419-557-8560) Jay left for a return telephone call with no clear results; then Eric Dunn (571-232-8456) which resulted in the above posting.  Thank you so much for posting that, otherwise I would also have been out $430!

On Wednesday, 7/20/11 at 9:30 a.m., Jay left a message on my cell phone to ask if the I was still interested in selling the timeshare.  Otherwise, they ?would move Eric in to another property.?
On Wednesday, 7/20/11, Eric Dunn left a message on Julia?s cell phone indicating that he had paid his 10% down of $1,050 (10% of the principal amount of the loan of $10,500) plus his share of the $430 closing costs.
Granted, I?m Dunn!  Their roles had been reversed!  Jay was now the financier, and Eric was the buyer?  What up with that?

Who ever has this number scammed my 79 year old mother out of $600.00 under the pretense of selling her time share.  She agreed to pay the closing costs via money pack and never heard from him or the "buyer" again.

He sent contracts stating he was from a company called YGG Financial.

My mom has learned her lesson and now wants to warn everyone she can.  Watch out  - he goes by the name Jay Garant says he's in Port Clinton Ohio.  The buyer says his name is Eric Dunn out of Washington DC.
